The sound and sight of a massive duck v going by. It's funny how all the other birds go quiet while they fly past.
Also looking at my work after spending 3 hours doing my lawn edging with a pair of sissors as my strimmer died on me. We should have a 'what have you done in your garden that onlookers would think you're little bit insane thred' (or is it just me).0 -
It's in the genes!!
Visited DD yesterday to find her outside with sack of compost, pots and home sown courgettes, peas etc all supplemented with compost from garden dalek.
31, married and lovely 18 month DD of her own...... after a couple of years of false starts and telling mum not to interfere, I knew it would happen eventually. :j :rotfl::j:rotfl::j:rotfl::j

Our tomato plants, grown by us from seed for first time ever, are growing 1-2 inch taller every day! Can't believe how fantastic they look. No flowers yet as we were a little late sowing, but still dead chuffed with them "Your life is what your thoughts make it"

I checked on all my veg and fruit this morning and really had to smile when I saw that one of my raspberry canes that had done nothing for about 2 months has now got 3 new canes just poking through the soil :j My peas have got lots of flowers on them now and my cucumbers are still rallying (only just in one case but not giving up hope yet).0

This garden: a vista in the garden of near perfection. The aqualeagias, the roses, the Patty's plum, the delphiniums, around a pond where water lillies are just bursting. Going over to new garden soon. I'm going to get photos and stare a bit at our back garden boundary which is giving me a bit of a headache...hopefully I'll think of the answer today, and that will make m smile!0

Noticed the start of my pea pods forming and the strawberries are just starting to ripen ever so slightly.
Even more thrilling, I seem to be in line for a crop of parsnips as the seedlings are now forming the leaves quite nicely.0
