I'm going to measure my new garden tomorrow, so I'm smiling in anticipation. :)

I'm smiling today because I created some room in the greenhouse and it is now much more accessible than it was this morning. No more trays hanging over the staging and managed to re-pot most of the plugs now.

I'll be smiling even more next Saturday hopefully after the school fair and aim to have much more space for the tomatoes with the plants all sold!

My lovely boyfriend has made me smile today by indulging my traipsing around homebase today and endless questions (that neither of us know the answer to!) and then being greeted by the dog (Benjy a gorgeous Collie!) with his favourite throw toy all excited we were home :)

Lovely thread - I hope I don't lower the tone any but I'm afraid having another mouse in the trap in the polytunnel this morning made me smile - not because of having a dead animal but because one less to have to share all the goodies with.

I also had a visitor and they'd never seen my garden and just to hear how much she loved it all was lovely and made me happy - especially as my little boy held her hand and showed her round and explained what everything was and how long it had been there and what would come from it. Bless.
    Sorry.

  • What a lovely thread!

The first thing that made me smile today was seeing that my courgette seeds are sprouting - I've never grown any fruit or veg from seeds before so it's very exciting!

I also planted up my first ever pot full of lobelias and petunias for our front garden (well, concrete blocks in front of the house, not really a garden!) which makes it look much nicer :j

    Morning everyone

Well it's still very early on a Sunday morning, and not a soul seems to be stirring except me... first smile ;)

Just been out to check on all veggies, and after yesterdays downpour, things look... refreshed - like they've had a growth spurt overnight. Great. Second smile! :)

Today we will be making space in the front garden to plant a small Cotoneaster tree/bush given to us by our neighbour. It should look lovely... once we've cleared all the weeds. Third smile :D

I'm smiling cos finally my peas have started to come up. And you can clearly see the patch where DD (age 2) had a little 'accident' with the seed packet...

How I just love mooching around my garden - there's always something new shooting or flowering and its so calming (if the neighbours aren't around). My little piece of paradise.
