Tesco internet was crap and their customer services were just as bad, no wonder it has closed. Glad you got your cash in the end OP!No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one! :mad:

I can confirm that I had a similar communication from Tesco as Broadwood today, except in my case it was stated that the cheque had been issued but not cashed, so they asked me first to confirm again that I did not have it.
So, finally, resolution looks to be at hand. However, I will reserve final judgement until the moneycard is received and has been redeemed!0 -
I have this Morning just Made a third attempt at contacting someone
at Tesco HQ, Via landline after i got no reply to my former emails.
I was informed by them that they have many departments, and has the service was no longer available they could not access my account, surprise surprise, They also told me that they are not responsible for Tesco internet phone dispite these these people using the tesco name, but said they would pass on my details to the Relevent department for processing, i assume this would be the Dead email account at tip@tescouk.com that never returns your emails,
i think its time that someone like bbc watchdog took up these complaints and dealt with Tesco, has i feel people like us do not stand a chance at getting our money, and Tesco know this.
at this present time i feel !!!!ed off and ripped off by the Tesco Brand and this is not acceptable has i cannot afford to just let this £23.00 credit sit in the Tesco bank Account. :mad:0 -

I will be requesting a cheque be sent as I do not what to spend my money with them.

After investigating this matter, I can confirm that cheques were raised and sent out to our customers who had been affected by the closure of our internet phone service to reimburse those customers for credits they had outstanding. However, it has been brought to our attention that a proportion of the cheques requested were never issued and unfortunately you were one of the few customers on this list.
We would therefore like to issue you with a £20.00 Tesco Moneycard for the monies owed and this will be on its way to you shortly.
Once again, please accept my sincere apologies for any confusion or frustration that has been caused, however thank you for taking the time to contact us once more.

Still no response to my letter of 03/06 to Tesco customer service so have now written direct to Terry Leahy. Also discovered that TIP is/was signed up to OTELO so anyone else who is being stonewalled should check out:

The suggestion from swapmeetpete is excellent -- many thanks to him for finding this out. Can I urge everyone affected by this to complete Otelo's online complaint form? It takes only a couple of minutes and is far more likely to achieve a result than emails to "Terry Leahy" that you can be sure he will never see, and will care about even less. I was about to issue a County Court claim against Tesco.Com Limited for the money they owe me when I saw his post and decided to follow this route instead.
This forum is relatively easy to find via a Google search for 'Tesco Internet Phone Refund', so hopefully many people affected by this issue will be pointed in the right direction by this info.

Tesco now getting nasty they sent me an email in red ink saying it would take 4-6 weeks to send me a cheque as I did not want their moneycard.
I pointed out it is considered rude and threatening to write in red and would give Tesco 6 weeks to send me the cheque before starting legal proceedings against Tesco for recovery of my money.
I got the following reply from Paul Milligan Customer Service Executive
Please accept my assurances that it is certainly our intention for any of our emails to be rude or threatening.
I am sorry that you remain so unhappy with this aspect of our service. However, I have passed on your further comments, with regard to the timescales involved with resolving your complaint.

Yesterday (13.7.10) finally received £15 in Tesco gift cards through the post. I was owed £6.72p so almost covers cost of the phone too.
If at first you don't succeed.........
