grrr, my GP is flipping useless. i saw her with my back problem in November, and she was no help. I thought family planning might be more in her expertise, but she was so vague. I had a whole list of questions, and after she'd established that i was talking about starting to try next year she just wasn't interested. She just kept saying, come back and discuss it then! aaargh!

Asked the TTC ladies on the marriages, relationships and families board instead, helpful replies within 30 minutes! :D

I'd ask our friend that's a GP, but then he'd know when we were going to TTC, and i don't want anyone in RL to know! :o

Feeling a bit blah today, back hurts, only came in to work to set up for an experiment we were supposed to run tomorrow, but it's been cancelled. I could have worked at home instead as I've just got a lot of paperwork to do today :( Had a massive spasm in my back in the car this morning, when my carshare slammed on the brakes.

Pilates last night was like torture, I'm sooo sore and achy today. My back's a lot better though.

Last week i ordered a cardie and fascinator to wear to my sister's wedding from Debenhams (while they still had the 20% sale on :money:) but I somehow selected our address from 2 moves ago as the delivery address  I rang them as soon as I noticed, but they said they couldn't do anything about it until it had been delivered. Rang back today, and they're sending replacements to my correct address for free :j I can't believe it, as it was almost certainly my fault (although I thought I'd deleted that address?!) I thought I'd have to pay to buy them again :D very impressed with Debenhams customer service again!

Been a few days since I last posted, work is really hectic, lots of deadlines to meet etc. I'm really missing my smartphone, it's hard to browse MSE on the spare one my uncle gave me, plus i'd got so used to instant access to my emails and the web. Haven't got the £100 to get my HTC fixed though, so will have to get used to it :( DH is buying a silicone case and screen protector for his on payday!

It was my payday yesterday, all monies duly transferred and rent paid, but the bill payments have to wait for DH's payday on Friday. First payday with his new salary, so waiting to find out how much it will be before finalising the new budget. I should find out this week what my payrise and bonus will be, which I'll get in my next paypacket. Roll on April 21st, only 4 weeks 2 days to go :rotfl:

It's my sister's wedding in 2 weeks, I've finally got all the bits from my outfit apart from some tights, which i'll chuck in with the tesco shop next week. Still need to get a card and a present, haven't looked at their giftlist yet. Mother's day next week as well, we're clubbing together to buy my aunt a VIP experience from Debenhams, which is £50, but you get a £50 voucher to spend, a personal shopper, make up consultation, free coffee and cake, and 10% off all purchases on the day, so it's a good deal. Only £10 each between us, so quite MSE as well :T No idea what to get MIL though, DH normally sends her flowers.

Busy week ahead at work, after our Jan/Feb lull the work programme has suddenly kicked into action. Off to Franfkurt on Sunday for a conference until Tuesday night, should be good, the programme looks very interesting and I'm travelling with my boss and another colleague, which I much prefer to travelling alone :o

    Morning Diary,
having an issue with Bupa, who have decided that they don't cover pilates after all, even though my consultant recommended it. :( Luckily they've agreed to pay for all the sessions I've had so far. I've got one more individual session booked on Saturday, which I'll pay for myself, and then I'm going to join one of my instructor's group classes. It's £7.50 a session, which is quite expensive, but better than the £35 a session the individual classes are. I could go to a class at the gym which would be cheaper, but I'd rather stay with the same lady, as she knows all about my back and what I can and can't do. I've noticed a real improvement in my back in the last few weeks, the only time it's been bad is when I've spent a long time in the car. Still getting the odd spasmy twinge, but nothing like it was before.

Am going to try and implement a new exercise routine from next week, including 1 pilates class, 1 exercise class and swim with my friend, and 1 game of squash with DH (and an extra swim if I can get him there!) He needs to lose even more weight than me, but he hates almost all forms of exercise. Even though he enjoys swimming and squash when he gets there, I have to force him into going  Plus he's working long hours at the moment as several large projects are about to launch. He hasn't been in before 7.30 for 2 weeks. :(

Going to combine all this with more healthy eating, although we're already not too bad with that as long as I remember to sort out the next nights dinner each evening so I don't have to think about it when I get in from work!

    Hello diary :)
Been away at a work conference since Sunday morning, got home at 10pm last night and I'm knackered! Still, it was a good conference, lots of interesting presentations etc.

Off out for a team curry tonight with my department, very MSE as it's the £11 banquet night at the restaurant. Should be good fun :D

Not much else to report, have made all this months payments, and updated my signature. Managed to shave a month off our DFD. I'm determined to get it into 2012, we want need this debt to be gone before we have a baby. We're planning to start trying early 2012, so we need to be within 9 months of our DFD by then!

First month's payments with DH's increased salary, so our snowball has increased to £800 a month. I'm getting a small payrise from next month's paypacket, so will adjust it again then, and then try to get on with paying things off asap.

I also get my bonus next month, which should be about £1200 after tax, but I'm supposed to be putting it all in our ISA to replace what we took out to buy the new car. I'm half thinking of putting it onto a card instead, as there's no way we're buying a house before we've paid off the CCs, and we could resave the missing amount from savings in 2 months once we've paid them all off.
What do you guys think? I'm struggling to decide, as the money from the ISA isn't "ours" as such, as DH's dad gave it to us to save for a house deposit. It's getting so little interest though, and it would knock several months off our DFD?

I think you should use the bonus money to clear some more debt, your savings are earning such little interest and once debt free you will be able to repay it very quickly.

    Enjoy your curry tonight x

Thanks Woo :) I'll have to discuss it with DH, but I think I'll use it to clear some debt instead of saving it. It's not like DH's dad will ask for it back, and we're certainly not buying a house before we've cleared the debts.

The curry was lovely, plus tres bargainous. Had a great night out, caught up with a colleague who left last year which was great.

Can't believe it's already Friday, my internal clock is all thrown off by being away until Tuesday! Lots of gardening planned for the weekend, DH mowed the lawn last weekend which has revealed how much mess we have to deal with in the rest of the garden! :rotfl: Plan for this weekend is to totally clear the borders, as there's no actual plants in them as far as we can tell, so we'll dig out all the weeds, and we thought we'd put 2-3 shrubs in each side. We'll plant bedding plants for a bit of colour nearer the summer. Will involve a bit of spending, but the garden really needs something doing to it, so will try to spend as little as possible. A friend has offered me some plastic troughs so will plant them up with annuals for colour on the patio and at the front, and also plant out my chilli plants which I've been growing on a windowsill (although not until the weather improves a little!) I want to set up a pot full of fresh herbs for cooking to live on the patio too :D I'm really looking forward to our first summer with a garden since 2009!

Then on Sunday we're off for Mother's day lunch at my sister's and dinner with DH's mum.

what's everyone else up to for the weekend?

Well I failed to do anything in the garden at the weekend :o just too knackered after my long week. Have seen that Aldi have lots of garden stuff in this week though, so will pop up on Tuesday to see what we can get.

Going for a swim tonight, Pilates on wednesday and another swim on Thursday - last minute attempt to lose a few pounds before my sister's wedding on saturday! Nothing like leaving it to the last minute!:rotfl:Lost 3lb last week, (though weight has gone up shockingly, so that's still higher than starting point :() hoping to lose another 2-3lb by saturday.

going for a haircut tonight as well, was supposed to be wednesday but it clashes with pilates so have moved it. Will take my fascinator with me and get her to show me the best way to put it in

So probably not a very MSE week, but needs must!

had some lovely news last night, DH's friend who was best man at our wedding has proposed to his GF :happyhear We got married nearly 5 years ago, and I was beginning to wonder if we were going to be the only ones, but all but one of the boys are now settled down :D Best start saving for the stag do now though, DH's was a 3 day jaunt to Budapest........

Realised I haven't been on for ages, bit of a hectic week last week at work, and been away for my sister's wedding all weekend. Lovely day, perfect weather, everything went smoothly and was just generally brilliant :D
Totally knacked now though, and my back is killing me :(
will try and catch up with diaries at lunchtime, another hectic week coming up though
