Morning Diary
My DH came home last night, I was so glad to see him!I feel a bit silly, he was only away from last Friday, but I'm just not used to him being away. Especially since there have been less all weekend sailing races in the last few years, so he doesn't go away regularly. He's doing a few more this year though, so I'll have to get used to it! I quite like a couple of days to myself, but after that I find it really lonely
not much else to report, got refund on my car tax from the written off Ka, and also a small refund on insurance now my claim has been turned to non-fault. Amazed how much insurance has gone up by this year, waaaay more than I had budgeted for, worth bearing in mind if anyone's renewal is coming up.
Busy night tonight, have to make the cakes for my sister's hen do tea party on Saturday, defuzz my legs in preparation for the spa tomorrowand pack my stuff. Have chosen my evening outfits, but need to sort out daytime ones. Didn't book a spa treatment in the end, but have been dropping mighty hints to DH that he should do it as a surprise, I'm sure he hasn't noticed though :rotfl:so I won't be disappointed if he hasn't!

Had a brilliant weekend at Sister no2's hen do, I'm knackered now though! The spa was amazing on Friday, and only £25 for the day, as opposed to £80-£100 at all the other places we looked at. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a girly sort of day in the Herts area!
No treatments for me (despite the massive hint I dropped OH by sending him the price list, :rotfl: subtle, no?)
Went shopping with sister no4 on Saturday and managed to get a dress for the wedding in the debenhams 20% off event. http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_120010461243_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EDesigners%7EWomen%7EDresses
Am thinking of getting this to go with it:

and a hat/fascinator in the same colour. Alternatively I might go for something bright red, as I have some red shoes that would also go. Decisions decisions!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Hi Jules,
Congrats on becoming an auntie!! I know what you mean about missing OH, I have to go away for 3 days/2 nights in July for work and I am dreading it. Even though most nights we sit at home doing seperate things I just like the reassurance of him being there!
Excellent news on the insurance, I checked mine as it's due 1st April and it's going up almost 20%. It doesn't pay to be an old careful driver.
How is your back these days?

Hi Jody
Back is a bit better, probably becuase I haven't had physio for a while, which my consultant said was making it worse! Still have odd nagging pains, and days when it feels like it's going to spasm, but it's not as bad. Pilates again tonight, am making the most of my health insurance cover before I have to pay the excess again in April
We're heading up to Yorkshire for the night on Saturday to see my new nephew :smileyhea Spoke to my brother yesterday and he's totally besotted, and also knackered. His GF even more so, she managed to wash his phone on Saturday, so I couldn't get hold of him for ages :rotfl:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Hi Mumsy  welcome along. Hope my random waffling isn't too dull
I'm working hard on not getting distracted too much anymore, focussing on the debts as hard as possible for the moment.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Afternoon Diary
Not much to report today, except maybe to confess the ridiculous amount of pancakes I ate yesterday (sssh, it was 8, 2 savoury and 6 sweet!!)They were lush though
Had pilates last night, it was really good. I remembered everything from last week, and the instructor said I was getting all the movements right, so I can start doing a bit at home. I've already been spending 5 minutes every couple of hours pulling in my pelvic floor and tummy muscles for practise, but I can start doing some of the actual exercises at home. Need to do more swimming, haven't been yet this week. Really tired today, but will try and make myself go. Then I can go on Friday afternoon as I'm having a half day before we head up north for baby cuddling
Pilates instructor gave me invoices for last week and this week, so if I get them sent off I should get a refund from Bupa. Have booked in all my sessions up until end March, and will have to make a decision then about whether to continue with the private sessions, as I'll have to pay the £75 excess again (although that would cover 12 sessions at £35) or to join the gym and start going to the classes there as well as swimming. Or whether to do both and have an individual session once a fortnight as well as going to weekly classes?! Decisions are not my strong point!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Bad back again today, felt like it was going into spasm this morning. Am working at home today, to save me the car journeys
just when I was starting to feel like it was getting better

Morning Diary
had a lovely weekend, headed up to Yorkshire on Saturday morning, spent the day at my brother's with my new nephew :happyhear before heading to DH uncle's for the night. Nephew no2 is very cute, also very amenable to cuddles which is always nice! Bro and GF seem to be coping very well so far (all of 11 days when we saw them!). Had a lovely evening out with DH uncle and aunt as well, did get a wee bit tipsy thoughLazy morning yesterday with cooked breakfast and the sunday times, and then drove back in time for the rugby yesterday afternoon.
No major back problems, but I did get a few mini-spasms in the car, and I'm knackered now, so I'm glad i've got the day off today to recover!
nothing MSE-wise to report really, was a cheap weekend apart from the petrol as we only paid for 1 round of drinks with DH uncle. 1 week until payday for me, and we're out next saturday for the last weekend of the 6 nations. SHouldn't be too expensive, but will need to save all my cash for then.
Off to the GPs in a minute to ask about when I should stop taking my pill if we want to try for a baby from January next year (assuming our DFD is before any baby would be due by then), and about my thyroid condition in pregnancy, as I've heard it can cause problems. I told DH that's what I'm going to talk about and he looked very worried:rotfl:
