    Morning

I have never tried Ikea meatballs, I feel like I'm missing out now!

I'm hoping for no rain this weekend, as I don't have a garden to look after :)

ooh, you're definitely missing out Woo, they're lush! DH thinks we should go to IKEA just to buy meatballs on a more regular basis! I'm going to try and organise our trip for lunchtime tomorrow so we can have them in the cafe, and then buy some to bring home as well :D

ps, no rain at your end of the country is fine with me, as long as my garden gets a good drenching! (preferably overnight!)

    Afternoon diary :)
Went to IKEA as planned, but on measuring found the wardrobe we planned to buy wouldn't fit the gap, in fact only 2 out of the whole lot would, so we bought the cheaper one which was £60. Still not massively expensive, but as it was only available in white, we bought some black and white boxes to store the linen on top of the wardrobe (much needed, as it currently lives in the laundry basket or on the spare bed!!), and a new bedlinen set in black and white, so that the spare room looks like we meant to have a colour theme, as previous pale green sheets really wouldn't go at all! :rotfl:Managed to only spend about £10 on random carp in the marketplace, all of which we will use, so quite a successful trip all in all. DH was grumpy though, he hates IKEA, and refused to assemble the wardrobe on Sunday :rotfl: It's currently just sat in the room in it's packaging still, but our landlord called last night to say he's popping in on Tuesday night  cue frantic tidying and cleaning tonight:rotfl: That's after I've done something for tea with the haggis l left out of the freezer last night by mistake after rearranging it! :o we're trying to use up everything anyway, but I'm not sure it's the right weather for haggis!

Dentist this morning for second of 3 filling visits before I have crowns fitted, not too bad but face still very numb. I really like my new dentist though, she's very good, and so careful about explaining everything and not hurting (big plus after the dentist from hell before her who drilled my tooth when it wasn't numb and refused to believe me:eek: ) Back next monday for the last filling.

Another hectic day ahead, I really don't like trying to do 2 peoples jobs at once! I'm so tired already, and it's only Tuesday morning :( Had to hoover and mop last night, and sent my back into spasm, still twinging at me this morning but not too bad. Am trying not to take any more time off, as already been referred to occupational health by my resource leader due to the number of days I've had off, and don't want to get in trouble :o

Nothing to report on the money front, week and 3 days until payday, but don't need to spend much before then. I've got £30 in my purse, but hoping not to spend any of that.

So much to catch up on!

Have to say a big WELL DONE on going to the dentist, couldn't tell you the last time I went it was so long ago :o. I know the fear it brings so be proud of yourself for braving it! Glad you had fun at your sisters wedding, I've got my bosses evening reception in 5 weeks time and I hope it will be good (especially as I booked a hotel room, it cost £100!). Sounds like you had a good few weeks off as well, was the weather fab for you? Had a couple of really lovely weeks here and I even managed to build up a little base tan :rotfl:

I lurvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve Ikea but I avoid it because I end up buying so much stuff I don't need! We currently have those triple canvas wardrobes which I brought over from my mums, they have lasted years so really can't complain for the price, it's just the covers that have ripped a little!

    Hi Jody :hello:
About the dentist: if you can find an NHS one, please go for a check up - i left it far too long, and have 2 teeth that now need drastic work - I'm actually in danger of losing one of them if the crown doesn't take, which I'm gutted about, but it's my own fault for being a coward and not going to dentist for 3 years  It was really scary to go, but my new dentist is brilliant (previous one wasn't great, and one before that was a total nightmare and brought on my terror of the dentist by drilling my tooth when it wasn't numb  before him I was fine!) and I feel so relieved! :)

We did have an amazing time at Sister no2's wedding, lovely happy family time, which I always appreciate :) I'm so lucky that my aunt and uncle took me in and made me part of their family so completely.

I can't believe it was over a month ago though, and they're back from their three week honeymoon in Thailand already *jealous*!!!

I am going to make an appointment with OH's dentist at some point, OH says he is really good so I would rather go to someone on a recommendation but I know I can't keep putting it off :o. A 3 week honeymoon, how fantastic! My boss is off to Mexico for his next month and it cost a small fortune but he did book the presidential suite etc!

Never been to a family wedding shockingly enough (apart from my aunts when I was about 5), the last wedding I went to was B O R I N G and the bride and groom never sent a thank you card for the money we gave them...I think that is well out of order but OH says he has never been thanked

    Afternoon diary :)

Not much to report atm, just ticking over the time until payday on friday :j

Dentist AGAIN yesterday, for the last of my fillings before having crowns done. Good thing you only have to pay one fee for the NHS dentist, even though it's going to be about £200 in total, I've had a check up and three fillings so far, and still 2 crowns to be done. Imagine how much it would cost privately

Am thinking of trying to book a few days away when DH and I have a week off in June - we've got lots of clubcard vouchers to use, so thinking of exchanging them for hotel vouchers or something. It's the week after our 5th wedding anniversary, so it would be nice to do something :) If not we'll just have a relaxing time at home, and there are plenty of villages etc to explore around our new town.

Any recommendations of places in the UK to go for a few days, in case we do get a hotel deal? We're in Bedfordshire, and don't mind driving for a few hours to get there.

Well done on braving the dentist again!

I think it will be lovely to go away away for your 5th anniversary, haven't got any suggestions on destinations though! x

Well done on the dentist x

Have to say I'm shamefully unaware of where's good and not in the UK, but good luck with finding somewhere, think that's a lovely thing to do for your anniversary :)
