It will be good to include the O/D's and will keep you motivated to bring the date back into 2012.

I think your broodiness is lovely, its exciting to think about your future and what being debt free will bring :)

Think it's good to include everything in your debt total - no harm in knowing exactly where you stand.

And enjoy planning babies and everything else that you will be enjoying when you are DF! :D

hehe, I've just been chatting about babies with my BF over lunch, and we're both totally overexcited. Shame I still have to wait about a 9 months- 1year before trying. :o
DH is getting a bit fed up of "when we have a baby....." conversations. Last weekend we were rearranging the spare rooms, and I was wondering aloud about how we'd arrange the boxroom when it's the nursery.(as it's very small and a bit of a weird shape) Poor DH's face was picture and he just said, "can't we wait until we're actually even trying for a baby before starting this conversation" :rotfl: teehee
Have been particularly bad this week, but I think it's because my SIL put up loads of piccies of newphew no2 on FB over the weekend, and my big sister posted this one of nephew no 1, which might be the cutest thing I've ever seen :smileyhea

Being geekily obsessed with spreadsheets (I am a professional scientist after all ;) ) I've been playing with my snowball spreadsheet to try and predict our DFD more accurately, as the What's the Cost one can't take into account a rise in payments in the future, or any one off payments.

Anyway, barring one of the cars being written off (again!) or another unexpected expense I think a DFD of December 2012 is definitely do-able and I'm so excited :j I'd expected to be still paying off our overdrafts into 2013/14 so to find out that we can clear them by the end of next year is brilliant :D If only I'd thought of transferring our ODs at the start of this process :o Hopefully there may be payrises to add in as well, but those are harder to predict

I especially can't wait for DH to be able to tell RBS where to go  He has a loan and a credit card that they pressurised him into, in a "review" of his account.

    Afternoon diary :)
Had to take my car for a new tyre this morning (we had a flat ages ago, and since then had loads of hassle as the locking wheelnut was missing, so been trying to get the dealership to pay for a new set of locking bolts ) and discovered it needed two, as one of the other tyres was borderline as well. :( The guy at Kwikfit did give me a discount, but it was still £104 :o plus I ended up waiting for 90 minutes, what a waste of time, especially as when I asked on the phone he said it would take about 30!

Wrote a massive to do list last night, the house is a bit of a tip and I'm really fed up with it. Been up since 8 and so far crossed 9 items off, but added several others, so still about 15 to go. The whole upstairs is clean and sorted though, and I'm doing my third load of laundry. Downstairs still a tip, but I'm having a 30 minute break and not looking directly at the mess :rotfl: Will probably have to leave a few things to do tomorrow, but if I can get the bulk of it done I'll be chuffed. I guess it's one way to keep busy while DH is away  hopefully he'll appreciate it when he gets back tonight. He'd better at least notice :rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning Diary :)

Feel like I've had a very productive weekend, managed to spring clean the whole house top to bottom, filed 9 months worth of paperwork, and DH and I finally constructed the wardrobe we bought at Ikea a few weeks ago. Had to really, as the hanging rail with all my clothes on collapsed on saturday! :rotfl:

Spare room looks really nice now, we've gone for a bit of a black and white theme, as the only wardrobe that would fit in the gap was white, and we already had a black glass bedside table, and pictures in black frames on the wall! Shame about the horrible oatmeal coloured curtains and lightshade, the joy of rented houses :rotfl:

Went to cinema last night with clubcard tickets, and ended up going for tea at Pizza Hut, it was just like our first date :D:smileyhea
the new X Men film is much better than Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World though

Have just traded in more clubcard vouchers for cinema tix as there's so many films coming out we fancy seeing, and we're just too tight to pay £8 a ticket. I have to say I can't believe how many more clubcard vouchers we're getting now we have a tesco clubcard for our fuel and grocery spends, while I was online I saw there's another £12.50 waiting to be sent out.

Anyway, moneywise, not too bad, but we're out on Friday for DH's birthday. Only to a local curry place with a £10 menu deal, but will probably go for drinkies afterwards as well  Have got all his birthday pressies, and some things for our anniversary as well. 5 years is wood/silverware, so he's getting a book (made from trees ) and a new razor (sort of silverware?!), and was thinking about getting a barrel aged single malt, as he's down to the last bit of the one he's got atm, which would also be vaguely woody.

DH thinks the wood gift thing is hilarious, and keeps saying "hehe, I'll give you wood, hehehe" BOYS! *rolls eyes*

    Morning Diary :)
Busy busy in the labs this week, so not much time to post. Also not much time to spend money which is good too :T

Have to pay for the new term of my pilates class tonight, £52.50  At least knowing I've paid for it makes me actually go every week, or I'd feel like I'd wasted £7.50. I think it is making a difference to my back, but not as much as I'd hoped. I think I could do with doing more at home, but I don't feel like I get as much benefit when I do it on my own, plus I normally can only remember about 20 mins worth of exercises. I'd really like to go to another class but I can't justify the extra money, I'd be spending all my monthly spending money on pilates. Must try and get back to swimming next week, I've been saying that since April though, so need a kick up the bum.

    Morning

Get back swimming, you only need to go once and well be straight back in the habit!

My brother has ongoing issues with his back, he is only 28 and they think it might be arthritis. He is in the RAF so keeps getting sent on 2 week rehab programmes that seem to help for a short period, but he always ends up back where he started pain wise.

Thanks Woo, am going to pilates tonight, but will try and go swimming on Thursday :) Feel free to post rude things if I fail to go :o

Really need to get back on top of the exercise/diet thing, my jeans are uncomfortable tight, and I got rid of all my size 18s. I will have to lose weight so I don't have to buy new clothes, very MSE :money::rotfl:

I'd like to lose 2-3 stones by the end of the year, so I think I need a plan of action, will have a think about it over the weekend. (after our curry night on Friday, and big roast on Sunday to celebrate DH's birthday :o) I've never got on very well with "plan" diets where there are lots of rules to follow, but I thnk I need to go back to counting calories properly and stop eating crisps/chocolate every day.
