    Hi LM

    The cake sounds awesome!

Just checked out the Food Focus website, I'm not trying to lose any weight but find things like monitoring what your eating quite interesting - am quite geeky like that!

Had totally forgot it was Fathers Day till you mentioned it!!

    afternoon diary :)

signed up for a 4 month challenge to reduce my waist measurement at work today - it's diabetes awareness week. I was horrified to see the result - I have a 44" waist :o:eek::o apparently anything over 32" is not good, so I've got a lot to do. Still, have already committed to lose weight, and it's good to have something else to encourage me.

I've set myself a mini-weightloss challenge: Lose 20lb by the end of August. According to foodfocus, if I stick to the calories it says I should lose 2lb a week, and there's 11 weeks to go. I wanted to set an inch loss target, but I have no idea what's reasonable, so will just monitor it and see how much comes off. I'm going to put it in my sig to spur me on.

Fishcakes for tea last night were yum, and I managed to make 8 from the ingredients, so froze 4 for another time :D Resisted having some of DH's birthday cake, as went swimming after work and I didn't want to cancel out the exercise :rotfl:

Pilates tonight, and then a friend and I are thinking about trying Zumba on Thursday - anyone been?

My diary seems to be all about weightloss and food and less about moneysaving at the moment :o I'm in the limbo between all my payments going out and payday so not much to report.

    Morning diary :)

pilates last night was a killer, the instructor made us hold 0.5kg weights for the entire session. I was knackered, and my stomach muscles and [STRIKE]arm muscles[/STRIKE] bingo wings ;) are killing me today

going to try Zumba tonight, if we can get into the class - it's first come first served for all classes at our local gym. We're taking our swimming stuff in case we don't get in though. Hoping DH will get home in time to come for a swim too, as it's a bit later than we normally go. Have decided that if I manage to go to swim/class 3 times a week for a month, I'm going to sign up for the gym membership at £38/month, as that's the point at which i'd be saving money. It's only a 3 month minimum contact, so if I stop going I can cancel it fairly easily. Not that I'm intending to stop, obviously, but I know what I'm like :o

Moneywise, still not much to report. Waiting on balance transfers showing up where they've been sent to. DH's RBS card sent him a 6 month 0% offer, so we're going to use it to clear the end of my barclaycard. DH car insurance is due next week, so need to get him to do the comparisons and see if he can beat the renewal.

We did manage to get a place at Zumba, which was really fun. I was worried I'd have to be able to dance to do it, but it was more like aerobics and I really enjoyed it. Was really intense though, I was knackered afterwards. Bit stiff this morning, but not too bad, and no protests from my back :j
We're going to try hips bums and tums on Monday :)

Glad you enjoyed zumba, it's good fun isn't it. I can do it and I can't dance to save my life! :D

There were many occasions when I was going in the opposite direction to everyone else :rotfl: but I figure as long as I keep moving for the whole time, and end up hot and sweaty, it doesn't matter too much if I get the moves wrong :rotfl:

forgot to say it's our 5th anniversary today, and DH has booked me a cupcake decorating course :D it's not til august, but I'm so excited :j all in aid of my master plan of setting up a wedding/celebration cakes business at some point :)

He's definitely outdone me on the present front this year, I'll have to get more imaginative for next year when it's his 30th and our anniversary within a week. :o
