hum ho, still waiting to be called by the auditors. nerve-wracking but dull at the same time!

wondering how short a time it's reasonable to wait before texting BIL and demanding more piccies of nephew? We only have 1 so far (he looks so cute! :happyhear), taken just before they left hospital on monday evening. Hoping to be able to visit them at the weekend, but we've got such a big family that we'll have to take it in turns so as not to wear them all out, so we may have to wait a bit longer. I suppose he'll still be tiny next weekend, but I'm so excited to meet him :D First boy of the new generation!

Back no better today, the shooting pains are back. The pills the GP gave me seem to be having less effect than plain old ibuprofen
Will give it until next week and make a repeat appointment.

Awww, I love babies! I bet you can't wait to meet the little fella. I have five nephews and one neice - one day it'll be me :p

Hmmm, back doesn't sound good at all - I hope it eases somehow, perhaps the tension of waiting for the auditor interview not helping? I hate them, luckily never been picked for one....yet!

    Good luck! x

Congratulations on the new arrival . I bet you are absolutely itching to see him :rotfl:. Make sure you go back to the Dr's about your back madame ;). How was the interview? We have an interim audit at the moment and my boss has been constantly on the phone so they ask me all these questions, I tend to just make it up :D.

That's great news on the Mint offer, have you worked out how much that will save in interest? Is it enough to knock another month off your DFD? Your friends house sounds gorgeous, I can't wait till we can buy a place of our own and have it just the way we want it, OH loves open fireplaces so I expect we will end up with at least one, shame it's such a distant dream at the moment.

Audit was fine, thank goodness! We've kept our license, and bar some minor changes to admin processes, no issues. SHouldn't have another inspection for a few years now - from the HTA anyway, we have regular audits from the MHRA, as we are a GLP facility and have to be inspected to keep our accreditation. Those audits make yesterday's look like a friendly chat over coffee!

Back still bothering me, but the GP did say that it might take a week for the drugs to have an effect. He's given me 2 weeks worth, so if it's not improving after the weekend I'll make a repeat appointment. It's not unbearable, but it is affecting my sleep so I'm knackered.

Got a friend coming to stay tonight, she travels on business a lot and has meetings nearby today and tomorrow. Can't wait to see her (even though I saw her at the weekend!), should be able to have a good old natter this evening, might even pop out for a cheeky pint. Our friends that live round the corner came over for tea on Tuesday, and we went for a pint at our nearest pub. Not good unfortunately, it was part of a big chain and very footbally! Might be nice for food, and has a beer garden for the summer. We prefer an old-man real-ale type of pub though, so will have to try out a few more in the area until we find a good one.

Nothing MSE to report today, BTs have appeared on DH's Mint account, so should show up on the other cards tomorrow. Looking forward to ringing barclaycard to ask for an interest rate reduction/new card type. Otherwise I think I'll have to cancel it, as I don't think I can be trusted with a £5000 credit limit. Especially not one on 28%!

Glad the Audit went well in the end :).

A £5,000 limit at 28% is just asking for trouble! Hopefully you can get a new deal on it though. Have fun with your friend tonight

    Morning :)
Had a lovely time with my friend last night, and it may be a regular occurance, as she has lots of customers in the area! Good chat, nice dinner, nice wine, good times! :D

Still no word from sister no1 as to when she'll be up for a visit, but since BILs family are all based in north west, I expect they'll be down this weekend, and it will all be a bit hectic, so not banking on being able to visit. *tries not to look like a madwoman due to lack of baby cuddles* :rotfl:
Might pop home on sunday afternoon though, as they're likely to have lots of piccies by now :T

Bum! Our 2 week lab maintenance shutdown starts on Monday, and I ran some samples yesterday to get the data ready to analyse next week during the shutdown, but the stupid bl88dy instrument has broken itself  Was working perfectly when my friend used it on Tuesday, but my data is totally useless.

Have spent all morning cleaning it and replacing parts, so fingers crossed it's fixed and I can run my samples before the shutdown next week. This always seems to happen on high priority work!!! darn QToF hates me, it's determined to ruin my career! Oh the joys of labwork:rotfl:

Rang our HR monkeys to reinstate my work Bupa cover (which I cancelled in February to try and pay a bit more of debts) and it turns out they never cancelled it in the first place! Muppets! Still when I go back to the GP next week, I can ask to be referred to a physio or chiropractor to get my back sorted out and I'll only have to pay a small excess. They really are completely hopeless, only second to the IT helpdesk. They can never understand me, and they once asked me to spell my name using the phonetic alphabet.
IT monkey: Juliette? How do you spell that please?
Me: Well it's J for Juliette..... :rotfl:

He didn't seem to pick up on the sarcasm though
