    Afternoon Diary :)
Had best friend and her OH over for tea last night, and now that they're only 10 minutes walk away, I think it will be a regular occurence :D what I really love about our new house, is that we can finally have people over again, we've been entertaining constantly since we moved in, and I love it :j I'm sure the novelty will wear off, but it's just so nice to feel we can start living our lives like we want to again, instead of living in a shoebox! :rotfl:

Did my financial update last night, paid all the final bills for the house, and paid all the surplus to the CC we've been using to pay for all the new house shopping etc, not as bad as I thought, but the move, and having to buy bits and pieces etc, has set us back a month or 2 on our DFD. Will update my signature when I've got a calculator handy, but total debt has gone up a wee bit :( Only to be expected really, and we've now bought nearly everything we'll need to get, and will be back to proper debt busting from this months payday (2 weeks and 2 days....)

Back to running for me tomorrow, I need to get on with my dieting as well. Weighed in this morning, 14st 9.25lb, so not too bad, but still 0.5lb on since I last ventured on the scales. Still hoping to get to 12st something by Christmas, so I need to get a move on. Best friend and I are supposed to start swimming and going to aerobics together, probably from next week as she's just back from the states and is waaay jetlagged. I'm planning to carry on with running twice a week as well, and sensible eating (during the week at least!)

DH is registering us with the GPs today, and I think I need to go and see them about my back, which has been nagging on and off since we moved, but is not really settling down completely. I also need another blood test to check my thyroid level is ok, (I have autoimmune hypothyroidism) as my thumnails are coming away from the nail bed and I read that that could be a sign of low thyroxine levels. It was fine at the last check though, so maybe something else.

I would love to have friends over, unfortunately I have few friends and no one seems to want to come over! :rotfl: Don't know what I have done to make it this way :(.

To only add 2 months to your DFD isn't that bad at all, whenever you move there are always things you need that you haven't thought about or that crop up last minute. I am sure you can knock them off again soon :)

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

Spent whole lunchbreak doing change of address phonecalls, so so bored! Only 2 to go, 1 I don't have the reference number for, and one that needs it in writing, so will get that typed up and posted this afternoon. Have sent DH the spreadsheet so he can do his accounts too, so will hopefully be all sorted by the end of the week. :T

ow! my back is worse than ever, I have shooting pains in my hips/bum when I sit in my office chair, and I can't twist or bend my lower back. I was in the lab yesterday afternoon, and everything I needed was in the bottom shelf/drawer etc, I had to keep asking my colleague to get things out for me, and then when I had to go and fetch water from the purifier, it was so sore to carry the bottles :(

got an appointment with a GP tomorrow afternoon at my new practice, I hope they can do something about it.

Back eased off a bit yesterday afternoon, so feeling a bit more like myself again. Still going to GP this afternoon to get checked out, as it's still sore even though it's not as bad.

Had a very grumpy evening with DH last night though, he came home in a temper as he got stuck in traffic about 3 minutes from home, for 10 minutes! He's only been back at work 2 days, and both days he's arrived home in a bad mood (on wednesday he got lost and ended up in Milton Keynes , so I could understand the crossness), but his commute is still shorter than mine used to be, and when he gets used to the route, it will only be about 10 minutes longer than it was before we moved. I'm finding the grumpiness a bit wearing, hopefully it will be better next week :(

Still no broadband at home, Sky are so inept that the moving home team managed to order the broadband to be connected to our old phone number  Apparently the phoneline we had installed on monday doesn't exist (even though they arranged the installation, and the sky talk department know that it does). After a 90 minute conversation last night, they've managed to re-order the broadband, but it will take 7-10 days to get sorted out, so possibly no internet at home until 18th October! DH is fuming, as he can't play most of his games on the xbox as it won't let him load any of the dlc without a connection to xbox live. We really weren't a happy household last night!

We're off to visit our friends in Macclesfield this weekend, setting off as soon as DH gets home tonight, so we should be there in time to go for a cheeky pint.

Back after a lovely weekend. Had a great time visiting our friends, but now have house envy over their new home, it's amazing. It's a victorian end terrace with really high ceilings, and gorgeous fireplaces in every room, all very grand. Trying not to be too jealous, and convince myself that we'll own a proper grown up house like that one day! (in about 10 years probably!:rotfl:)

Also popped over to manchester to visit brother in law no2 for lunch before we came home.

Only downside is that my back was bothering me all weekend, according to the GP I've sprained the muscles at the point where my hips attach to the spine. Good that it's not too serious, bad because it's really sore, and it makes sitting upright really uncomfortable. Got some anti-inflammatories, but as you have to take them after food they're taking a while to kick in in the mornings. Still in pain now, an hour after I took them.:(

Congratulations on your new nephew :D Making me broody again!!!

I hope the back gets better soon, nothing worse than muscle pain in back - seems to stop you doing anything....or it did me! x

    Afternoon Diary :)

DH rang Mint (his empty credit card) yesterday to change address, and they offered him 6 months 0% with no BT fees :j We're going to totally clear our last >25% APR debt, and a chunk from the only other card with interest atm, so by the end of the week we'll only have one card with interest accruing!

Such a relief, when we started all this we had £7000 on cards that were over 25%. Now nearly everything is on 0%, and even when those deals run out, the highest APR is 19.9%. Hopefully by then BC might offer us some sort of deal as well.

Have set up a new snowball spreadsheet, but will wait to update my signature totals until payday next week, as that will knock another chunk off. Currently our DFD is June 2012, if we just keep paying the current amount, but hopefully we'll be able to pay a bit extra next year with bonuses etc to bring it forward. I really want to start 2012 with no credit cards, so fingers crossed for good bonuses and payrises next year.

Not much to report today. DH did balance transfers yesterday, popped onto online banking to check if it had showed up on BC only to discover that they've increased my credit limit again. Once it's showing as empty I'm going to ring them and see if I can get onto a lower interest rate, as at 27.9% APR there's no way I'm keeping it, way too expensive for use as an emegency card, and the reward scheme is a bit pants, I'd rather be collecting nectar or clubcard points.

Being audited by the human tissue authority at work today and I've been selected for interview  so sat at my desk waiting to be called. Can't get on with anything else until that's done really. Can't even go for my normal teabreak, hence MSE in the middle of the morning!
