Hey!
Sorry you are feeling so poorly, hope you feel better soon. Think Jody is the same at mo too. I myself have just gotten over a cold thingy, OH had it worse than me though. So many bugs about at the mo.
Bet you are SO excited about moving!!! Or will be once you feel better in yourself. Nice idea re bbq - I too give up with YouGov - takes forever and I know we should be doing every little bit but sometimes surveys just drive me insane
Anyhow, i'm hopefully going to be posting bit more reg now and catching up. Laptop down, using work at moment and have been mega busy decorating and sorting....still not unpacked yet
Take care, wrap up warm and have yourself a cosy eve x0 -
Jules I hope I didn't cyber-infect you with my horrid germs! It seems to be doing the rounds at the moment and I hope you are feeling better now. Yay to countdown to 'get rid of annoying carshare girl' :rotfl:
I gave up with yougov, it was taking forever and I never got surveys. On the other hand I seem to do ok with VO, weird isn't it! I am still recovering so wont be doing much this weekend although I have got to work tomorrow night

Morning diary
Weighed in this morning, 14st 10lb, so 2lb on in the last 2 weeks. Need to get back to running properly, and stop eating junk that doesn't really make me feel better.
Feeling a bit better today, as long as I keep up the paracetamol doses. Currently watching spongebob movie, that's about my level this morning!hope everyone else is feeling better

Feeling mostly better today, still a bit bunged up/sore throat but generally human again. DH is coming down with it now though
We went to look for a new bed today - the second bedroom at our new house is quite narrow so we'll have to put our divan in there, so that our guests don't have to climb over each other to get in/out! Sadly our handmedown spare bedframe is SOOOOO ugly (black metal with wicker panels, but it was free and fine for spare room!) and we binned the mattress after our last move as people kept telling is how uncomfy it was. Got a great deal on a mattress, but decided to live with the frame for a while, though we were really tempted by a beautiful leather sleigh bed, on such a good offerLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Well after almost 2 months, and ANOTHER 1 hour round trip to the Nationwide branch nearest to my work, my card is finally open, and I've transferred the majority of my barclaycard balance :jLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

About time that card is open :T
Another person thinking about a new bed, it seems to be catching as much as those horrid colds. Good to know you are starting to feel better, it's definately doing the rounds at the moment

DH has got the manflu, and is therefore too poorly to do anything helpful. I try not to be irritated with him, but I still cooked all the meals etc while I was ill last week, even if I did make him load the dishwasher!
Had a big meeting yesterday, and a piece of work I'm study director for (which had been put on hold while other "higher priority" pieces of work for the same project were completed) has suddenly turned out to be high priority, and the project leader wants to present the results to our R&D director in October. Sadly we don't have any results yet, as we only did a small piece of initial work in july before it was all put on hold  Looks like I'm going to be rather busy when I get back from my moving hols!
Only 3 days left to work before we're on hols to move, it seems so bizarre, I feel very unprepared.Hopefully the last minute adrenaline surge, and the knowledge that it all has to be done before the removers arrive on Wednesday morning will see me through :rotfl:
And best of all only 1 day left of carsharing :j. This morning carshare drove into a pheasant on the road, and then had hysterics so we had to pull over while I checked the car wasn't damaged, and that there was no blood, and she stopped crying. We were very late for work!
I hit pheasants all the time; it's often unavoidable, you slow down to avoid them running in front of you, they don't leave the verge so you speed up, and then they run into your car . Annoyingly, this time it would have been fine if she was paying attention, as it was already halfway across the road when I saw it, and told her to brake, but she didn't cos she couldn't see why!
I'll be glad to start carsharing with my friend from my office, and as it's only 20mins each way, hopefully we won't annoy each other too much! :rotfl:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Hello Diary
Not much to report today, except that our flat is now so full of boxes that it's getting hard to move around (and most of them have been flattened!) Luckily we get lots of deliveries at work, and our lovely cleaner Jason has been collecting them for me, makes moving a lot easier when you can get good boxes!
We can't start packing until after the weekend, but until then I'm considering building a fort and making OH sleep in there until he stops snoring :rotfl:
Things to do this week:
Weds-Fri
Ring the council and tell them we're moving, as may not need to pay CT DD on the 1st.
Go to the Post Office and set up mail redirection
Write a list of all the companies I need to contact to change address details
Ring the letting agents and query standing order paperwork
Ring the movers and confirm what time they're coming on Wednesday
Weekend:
Double check the moving budget, and move the deposit money from ISA to joint account
Tidy and clean the flat properly in preparation for packing
Have leaving drinks on Saturday/recover from hangover on Sunday
Monday-Tuesday
PACK
DH couldn't get mon-tues off work, as his boss is on hols (and is actually coming back earlier than planned so DH can have the rest of the time off that we planned for moving!), so the majority of the packing will be down to me. If you see me lurking about on MSE on Monday & Tuesday, yell at me to stop faffing and pack something :rotfl:
Thurs-Fri next week
Clean the flat and hand back keys - remember to take meter readings
Sky installation at new house
new mattress delivered
unpack!
Saturday = collapse!
Starting to feel a bit stressed and unprepared, but that could just be in anticipation of how much I HATE packing! It's a shame the full packing service from the removers was out of my budget!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Kicked my @ss into gear this morning to get on with things! DH mum rang last night, and she's going to give us some money to buy a new bedframe - both DH's brothers have recently moved and apparently she helped them out with furniture etc, so to be "fair" she's going to help us as well :T Not that we'd have minded if she didn't, but it's very nice. Going to try and go tonight, and see if we can get the frame we wanted at the weekend, and hopefully get it delivered at the same time as the new mattress :jLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

[/STRIKE] DONE - they're going to amend the paperwork so that we can pay the rent on the day we want to, but involves paying an extra 5 days up front. They're being a pain as we're with the same bank as the landlord, so he would get the money on the day we paid it
