Have managed to get my instrument back up and running, so hopefully will have some data to work on next week. back getting much worse today, going to ring bupa at the weekend and find out how to get referred to a chiropractor/physio or something. Still, only 90 minutes to hometime, as new carshare also believes in 4pm Friday hometime! Hooray! I used to get so fed up sitting in the office while everyone else packed up and left at 4, and my old carshare wouldn't leave until 430 earliest.

Sorry to hear about your day from hell, sounds like you had a nice evening with your friend though . We have the most USELESS IT woman at work, I have no idea what clown made her the IT manager but I know more about PC's than she does and that's saying something :rotfl:.

I hope the maintenance shutdown goes well for you and that you get some news on nephew visitng while I am away, see you soon! x

Morning Diary
Lovely weekend, had relaxing evening with OH on Friday, nice dinner, telly and several cocktails Spent saturday doing lots of house jobs, got rid of all but one box cluttering up our bedroom, cleaned all floors and did loadsssss of laundry. Friends over for dinner and boardgames on Saturday night, including a brilliant new lego game, Creationary, like Pictionary, but you have to build the things from Lego. Much hilarity! Sunday I slept in til 10, and then we braved the shops at Milton Keynes.

I got a new cardigan and top, part of my new strategy of buying 1/2 new things each month to keep my wardrobe a bit smarter (since my birthday is on Boxing Day, I normally get lots of vouchers in December, so only buy new clothes in the January sales!) got £10 off with a survey voucher though, and both were a reasonable price. Also got a new peg bag and some more clothes pegs (which made me tragically excited! ), more wool for knitting projects, and had a nice lunch at Pizza Hut. Not good for the diet, but so nostalgic, as our first date was lunch at Pizza Hut and a trip to the cinema (Jurassic Park 2)!

We bought a Vodafone SureSignal too, which plugs into the broadband and boosts your phone signal, our mobile signal is terrible at the house. Shouldn't have any more repeats of last monday when I got picture message of new nephew and had to spend 20 minutes standing in the bath to get enough signal for it to download!!:rotfl:
Hopefully won't miss so many calls now, as the signal drops out all the time and we keep getting voicemails from peeps, so will be able to make use of free minutes and texts. It was £50, but there's no ongoing cost, and since we're both on Vodafone and tied into contracts until 2012, it means we'll actually be able to use the service we're paying for!

Of course this all depends on Sky switching on our broadband as promised today. DH will explode with rage if they don't manage it soon :rotfl: He's already getting worked up about what will happen if they don't switch it on today.

Spent Sunday afternoon putting up our pictures, so the sitting room is finally nearly finished. We've got loads of space to put pictures now, so thinking of getting some of our digital ones printed and some cheap frames to go up the stairs, and along the hall to the kitchen. Those walls look very empty at the moment.

Morning Diary
We have broadband and mobile signal at home now! I'd almost forgotten what it was like to have a working smartphone, I'll be able to keep up with everyone's diaries at the weekend now :j
I'm amazed that Sky managed to connect us on the day they said they would, got to be a first time for everything though I suppose :rotfl: This whole move has been so much smoother than the last one, I keep expecting there to be something massive I've forgotten to do.

Went for tea at our friends house yesterday, were supposed to go to a pub quiz after, but DH was soooo late back from work due to a last minute teleconference to the states that we missed the start, so we're going next week instead. Still looking for a good local, so far we've tried 2 pubs and ruled them both out! Picky, me?! never :cool:

2 days til payday for me, and there's petrol in the car (plus it's not my week to drive, love the new carshare) loads of food in the fridge and freezer and no bills to come out of the account. Looking forward to implementing our new budget from Thursday, we've been a bit off the rails since we moved, but we're ready to get on with debtbusting now We need to run the freezer down so it can be defrosted (not done by previous tennants :mad:) so hoping for a cheap grocery month. New snowball all drawn up and waiting for payments to be made, and I'll have to update my signature as well :eek:

Your nephew is soooooooooooo handsome.....it's made me so broody and in some strange way motivated me more so to debt busting so I too can have a little one

I'm loving the idea of the lego game - may have to put that on my xmas list - we love board games.....can play them for hours!

We've just moved from Hertforshire to Bedford, to be closer to my work. It's a month on Friday since we moved, I can't believe how quickly it's gone. I love our new house though, and I love my new 20 minute commute (instead of 1hr15 min!)

Afternoon Diary
Went to the GP about my back again this morning, there's been no change after 2 weeks on anti-inflammatories. Got another 2 weeks of pills, and a promise of a referral if it hasn't cleared up by then. Would have asked for an immediate referral, but our HR morons have c*cked up my Bupa membership and it's not sorted out yet.:mad:

Really sore now as the doctor gave my back a good prodding and it's flared up worse than before. Sitting at my desk all day is not helping either, stupid lab shutdown!

Nowt else to report today, payday tomorrow.
