Jules you are on a roll at the moment, any ideas how much interest that is going to save you? Wat to go Woo as well :T.

Your nephew looks so sweet in that pic and huge congrats to your Brother too, sounds like it's all go in your family at the moment!

What a !!!!!! on the cleaning fee's, it sounds like they get a share of the fee, like a commission I guess. I will have to double check our contract to see if we have to have the flat professionally cleaned, I blinking hope not!

So sorry to hear about your back, I really hope your work get your BUPA membership set up soon, sounds like it needs a professional opinion to me.

On current snowball estimation, it will only save us about £160, and there's a £100ish balance transfer fee! but that's not taking into account the fact that other cards will become the priority once 0% deals start to end, as their standard interest rates are all higher than Capital One. Moving the Capital One balance to the low rate will mean that we can focus on clearing those once they go back to higher rates without paying loads of interest on that balance, so our minimum payments should make a reasonable dent in the balance.

    Afternoon Diary :)
I've been bad :o I left my lunch at home today so I had to go to the sandwich shop at work, and the BookPeople are in this week. I bought 2 new cookbooks that I had previously decided not to buy and to add to my christmas/birthday list. No self restraint at all  (although they were both £8, so quite bargainous) and I don't even feel guilty, I'm so excited about reading them both this weekend. (Nigella Kitchen and Hairy Biker's Christmas :j)

I'm expecting to spend the weekend TVless as DH's new Xbox game should arrive today/tomorrow, so at least I've got something to look forward to now. *still not feeling at all guilty, needs MSE slap*

Back still really sore, it hasn't really improved since the GP made it sore on Wednesday :( Had an email from the HR monkeys to say they'd received my Bupa forms and opened a ticket which will be resolved within 3-5 working days, so hopefully I'll be Bupa'd before next weekend and can make an appointment to see the GP.

No more MSE news to report, bill DDs going out as expected, and one unexpected from Eon for the last electric bill at the flat, which I'd already paid by card  Luckily I'd cancelled the DD, so it didn't go properly.

Looking forward to doing a full update of my snowball on Tuesday and finally updating my siggy, noticed I haven't done it since July :o which nicely coincides with my small detour off the rails.

Hooray :j After 6 weeks I've finally finished drafting the posters for our Team Science Capability event (essentially a morning of us showing off about how good we are to drum up new business from the project leaders in house:rotfl:, followed by tours round the labs for the non-lab based scientists in the building). I've had a lot of problems with one of my colleagues, he's very reluctant to get involved (been working here 30 years  and waaaaay too cynical!) but I finally got the posters for our area finished today, in time for the printing deadline on Monday!
Hometime in 5 minutes too, loving the new carshare, back to leaving at 4 on a Friday like everyone else in my office. Not missing the old carshare at all :D

Thanks for the FB request Jules!

I bet you would be glad if you never saw your old car share ever again :rotfl:. I think we can let off a sandwich shop visit just the once ;). I so need to learn how to cook, I think I would starve if it wasn't for my OH, I just lack the motivation for it :o.

Hope you have a great weekend hun

    Morning Diary :)
Lovely weekend, went out in our old hometown for a friend's birthday meal on Friday. We went to a tiny Japanese restaurant that's been there for years, but we were the only table in, it was quite odd! The food was amazing though, and quite bargainous. Then went on to a good pub for a few more drinks and back to our friend's house overnight. Sadly had to get up at 745 in order to get back to st albans and collect the cars, which we'd left parked on single yellows! Went straight back to our friend's and back to bed for a few more hours. All the boys feeling a bit tender on Saturday morning due to the amout of Sake they consumed at the restaurant! :rotfl:
Once DH had recovered (with the aid of a breakfast baguette from the bakery in our friend's village) we went to my family home for a cup of tea, and both my nieces were there for the day as sisterno4 and husband were at a wedding :D Always good to get a bit of niece time when there are no other aunties around to steal all the cuddles! Neice no1 has a very very loud voice at the moment (she's 3, and someone told her to speak up for grandad as he's deaf in one ear, so now she shouts the whole time when she's at home!!), and DH kept wincing whenever she talked to him: "Uncle A, should I put this cow with the other ones? I think it's a daddy cow, should I put it with the Daddy elephants?" (we have an interesting selection of "farm animals" in the farmyard set!) A: "maybe it could go in the other room quietly?":rotfl:

Headed home and had a relaxing evening in front of the telly with a takeaway pizza, mmm. Also got our PC connected to the wireless at last, had to reinstall the wireless adapter twice, and then it just started working. No sign of DH's new xbox game, so I actually got to watch tv as well! He's in a sulk though :rotfl:

Spent Sunday finishing my knitting project for my new nephew (who we're going to visit on Saturday :j) and starting the next one, which is using such fine wool that I don't think he'll get it before Christmas! I spent about 3 hours working on it yesterday and I've only produced about 8cm! I could have finished the back of a cardigan in that time using normal wool!

Also managed to do laundry and housework etc ready for the week. Back much worse again, hardly any sleep on Saturday night, or last night. Will give it to the end of the week and make a repeat appointment with the GP. Bupa membership has gone through, and I've received my membership guide etc, so I'm covered now and can ask for referral to physio/chiropractor.

Sounds like an awesome weekend to me! I used to be terrible at getting up to move my car, I managed to amass about £300 in parking tickets over 6 months :o, they caught up with me eventually!

Make sure you get that referral soon, sounds like it's really giving you grief x

    Morning Diary :)
Had a nice evening last night, tried out our 3rd local pub and we really liked it. Nice atmosphere, clean toilets (unlike local no 2  where DH brushed his leg agains the loo seat and got someone elses wee on his trousers. eeeeew), good selection of real ales! Were supposed to be doing the pub quiz though, and they started it in the back room and we never noticed until the barmaid said to DH "weren't you here for the quiz?" :rotfl:
Still we had a good natter with our friends, nice to go for a cheeky pint on a Monday :) Next week we'll actually make it to the quiz, 3rd time lucky!

Back the same as before :(, thanks for all the well wishes ladies. It's a week tomorrow since I saw the second GP, so will give it til the end of the week and then make an appointment for early next week when I'll have taken 3 weeks worth of anti-inflammatories.
