    Hi Jules

I missed your diary yesterday for some reason, so only just caught up!

Have you made a decision on Christmas? I really feel for you, why should you be expected to put your enjoyment to one side.

  • Hi Jules, been catching up on your diary as I haven't been reading others as much as I should (hangs head in shame:naughty:)
so glad to hear you've moved and no longer have to deal with the carshare.
oh the piccie of your nephew, he is so gorgeous, I'm so tempted to rip my implant out and go make more babies (must resist must resist)
the new commute must be bliss it's just a shame your back is still playing up
    really hope it's sorted soon.
sorry to hear about christmas it's a nightmare when family's expect you to do certain things, I don't have that now as MIL is 300 odd miles away and my mum and dad are no longer here but as we've got three kids then we've stayed at home since they were little anyway and just done visits if we can, still used to get the guilt trip tho about not going to my mum's for christmas day when we wanted to be at home with the kids luckily my DP doesn't respond well to guilt trips and usually replies with a firm no we'll do what we want to do !!!!!! (caused no end of arguments with my mother tho as she was too used to clicking fingers and expecting others to jump)

hope you get plenty of baby cuddles soon :D

That's a big interest saving per month Jules, it shows what can be achieved if you take the time and make the effort to look for a better deal :). Glad to hear your back is a bit better now, just take the run slowly as you don't want to aggravate it!

My OH knows I am on here but I don't think he has ever tried to read anything (my god I hope he hasn't!) and he doesn't get involved in my money unless he is trying to give me some :rotfl:

    Afternoon Diary :)
No run for me today, back worse again last night. :( I really need to get back to running, I can feel the weight creeping back on, but I have no motivation to stop it.

Busy weekend ahead, off to visit my sister for cuddles with her new baby tomorrow afternoon, and then have best friend and boyfriend over to make christmas mincemeat followed by dinner (lamb shanks, mmmm) and board games. Sunday BF and I are going shopping in milton keynes, and I have to make some goodies for our team event on Thursday, in order to attract people in! No major spends planned for me, apart from picking up one of DH's Christmas pressies, something I saw when we went shopping a few weeks ago. Will probably have lunch at the shops though, any excuse for a girly natter :rotfl:

Very excitingly, BF might be applying to come back to work here, there's a job on offer in our QA department :j

Oh nooooo @ your back, any ideas when you can see a specialist about it?

Milton Keynes...the land of roundabouts :rotfl:, have been there once and it was a nightmare! I've never seen so many of the things! Hope that your shopping trip is fruitful, I dread town once we start getting near Xmas, I just can't stand all the people and jostling in queues!

    Have a fab weekend hun

    Morning Diary :)
Lovely weekend, but quite tiring overall! Since we were going to visit my sister in north london, we took the opportunity to go to the Wembley IKEA, so much better than the Milton Keynes one! Managed to get a rug for our sitting room (£15!) and a mirror for the bathroom to replace the cabinet that fell off the wall a few weeks ago (also £15!). Also got a load of photo frames for all our snapfish prints, so spent yesterday evening arranging them in a lovely collage :D
After IKEA headed to my sisters to meet Nephew no1, he's totally gorgeous and they seem to be getting on really well. They've been planning to move nearer home, but still waiting to hear when they'll complete on their house move, which has been dragging on since April , but apparently everything is nearly in place, so they're hoping to have moved by Christmas. Had lots of lovely baby cuddles, DH complained on the way home that he didn't get any, apparently I'm a selfish baby hogger! It wasn't my fault really, he was just too cute to let go of until he needed feeding and changing! :rotfl:

Had a brilliant evening on Saturday, all got a little bit tiddly so the board games were a bit raucous. Good thing we're detached now, no neighbours to wake up! :rotfl:

Luckily no hangovers on Sunday, so we managed to go shopping. Milton Keynes is our nearest decent shopping centre, and I've managed to find a route to one of the carparks which is actually near the shops which I can find every time, so not as stressful as it used to be. Spent hours in the shopping centre, although most of it was spent nattering over lunch :D didn't actually buy anything except some plasterboard fixings to hang our new mirror on, but BF got some lovely new tops.

Mmmm, just had a lovely bowl of homemade veg and barley soup for lunch. Very yummy, I'm not even jealous of my colleagues crisps that I can see right in front of me *lies* :rotfl:(about the crisps, the soup WAS yummy!) I left DH with instructions to stir the soup once an hour as I put it in the slow cooker while I went out, and he even looked revolted at that! His face when he saw the massive pile of veg I was chopping was priceless "what's that for? :(" I think he thought I was going to make him have it for tea! :rotfl:

    At least he stirred it!

I normally do a roast on sunday afternoon along with a massive batch of soup for mine and OH's lunches. This Sunday OH was left in charge as I was working a double shift - I got treated to a roast with potatoes like bullets and handed a tin of chicken soup to bring into work! :rotfl:
