I only managed a little walk yesterday and should have done another today but it's been raining all morning so I gave it a miss!
I really want to move but the thought of all the packing, traipsing up and down stairs and unpacking is horrible. I can't say I envy you but it's a good excuse for a clear out :rotfl:

Afternoon Diary
We gave notice on our flat yesterday, so our official moving out date is 25th September. We're planning to do our actual move on 22nd (6 weeks today!!!), which gives us a couple of days to clean well before handing back the keys.
Our letting agents rang this morning, and said could they bring someone round at 4pm today! I had to say no, as I have no idea what state DH left it in this morning!!! He never makes the bed in the morning, it really winds me up, and it's the first thing I see when I come in.
Saw my friend who's off on maternity atm yesterday, and she gave me the details of the removals company she used for her last move. I've rung them for a quote, and they reckon about £300, similar to the other quote. since my friend said they were really good, I think we'll probably go with them. I think van hire and diesel would probably come to about £250 for the 2/3 days we'd need it if we were moving ourselves, so I'm quite pleased with that price and the thought of not having to help lift furniture(which always leads to me and DH shouting at each other, as I'm too weak to carry anything heavy for more than about 30 seconds!!! :rotfl:)
So am just waiting for one more company to get back to me with prices, and will then make a decision who to go with.
In other moving news:
am trying to find out whether we can get Virgin TV, phone & broadband, there's definitely cabling in our new street, but not in our house yet, so am waiting to find out if they can get it to us or not. Landlord quite happy for us to have it installed, I like him alreadyHave found out there's 2 months free for new bundles, plus £65 cashback through quidco, which will cover the cost of the box and the installation. I can't wait to go back to Virgin, Sky have been a nightmare  (no cable in our flats, only a communal satellite) I will take great pleasure in calling to cancel our contract!
Have asked the lady who deals with all our deliveries etc to start saving boxes for me. I'm lucky with that, it makes moving so much easier when you can get good quality boxes for packing
Have written a list of what needs sorting over the next few weekends - we can't start packing until a few days before the move, as we have nowhere to store the packed boxes, but we can have a massive declutter and tidy up which will make the packing easier! DH and I have agreed to do one big thing off the list each weekend.
This weekend: Sort bedroom cupboard (full of packed boxes from the last movethat were too heavy to risk putting in the unboarded loft!!) and clothes.
DH has 3 drawers full of t-shirts, most of which are really tatty. We're going shopping for him on Saturday, and he's agreed to a 1-in, 2-out arrangement!
If there's time: Take stuff to the tip. look in the loft and see what's up there!
I feel exhausted already!
Going home for my tea tonight to tell my aunt all about the new house etc. Seems ages since I was last at home, so really looking forward to it. Won't be able to go for an evening after we move really, so will have to make the most of it for the next 6 weeks.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
ooh forgot to say that my brother and his girlfriend went for their 12 week scan yesterday, no problems, baby due 19th February :j he sent me the pictures, and I had a semi-row with DH, who maintains that ultrasound pics don't look like anything resembling a baby. They were especially clear ones, I could see the baby quite well! Men! :rotfl:
We're heading up north in November for a Pickles family party, and we're planning to extend our trip to visit my brother and other family as wellLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
It sounds like you are going to be very busy over the next 6 weeks. When we moved here we did it all ourselves but obviously we didn't have sofa etc then so I would insist on a removal company if we moved again!
I wanted Virgin but we had to go with Sky and have the communal dish issue but touch wood, so far they have been pretty good.
The scan is great news, it may be a valentines baby then

Morning Diary
Well I've had a bit of a rubbish week with mornings. I've slept in later than I should and failed to bring lunch to work for 3 out of 5 days, meaning that I've had to buy lunch from the sandwich shop, and I can never resist getting crisps and a bottle of popThat makes it £3.70 a day = £11.10 wasted this week, plus the cost of the sandwich ingredients that are going off in the fridge at home.
This morning I forgot my running kit and the lunch I made last night, in my hurry to get out of the door, and I was still later than I'd planned for work  Our hours are a bit flexible, based around 830-1645, but I normally do 815-1630, and on Fridays leave at 4. Didn't get in until 840 this morning, so will have to stay past 4, which always ruins my afternoon, watching everyone else leaving!
I think the long commute is finally catching up with me, although I've been doing it for 3.5 years it seems much worse at the moment as there are so many roadworks. It takes about 1hr30 instead of 1hr10, and that's when there's no actual traffic jams. Some days it takes over 2 hours if the M1 jams up. Plus my carshare was away on a course for a week, and now she's on holiday, none of which she told me at the start of the month, so it's thrown my petrol budget right out as she's only driven 4 days this month. Grrr, I really hate her, only 5 weeks left of sharing though will just have to bite my tongue. Roll on moving day. :jLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Lovely evening, dinner and then cocktails and the first 2 eps of Mad Men season 1, which we recorded on Sunday. If you've never seen it I'd recommend looking it up on iPlayer. It's a slow burner, but i'm totally gripped by it, so pleased the BBC are repeating it, just hope they show season 4 soon!

The cocktails were yummy, but we ran out of ice so could only make 2!
Had a nice day so far, went up to Milton keynes shopping to avoid the viewings our letting agents arranged for today. Bought a lovely purple cardigan, paid for mostly by a toluna voucher
Popped in to see MIL on the way home, wasn't too awfulLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160
