The notice day for our flat was on Monday, but we didn't give notice, since we haven't found anywhere that is even a possibility yet and don't want to end up homeless!
Can't give notice until the end of August now, so we won't be moving until the end of September. Am keeping an eye out for things, but not seen anything I really liked so far.

    Afternoon Diary :)
Nothing much to report today, busy in the lab on a fun new project so just grabbing a quick lunchbreak.
The exercise bug seems to have got under my skin since January, I haven't done any since Sunday, and I'm sooo fidgety. Have decided to go swimming tonight, since I'm resting my foot from runnign for a few weeks. I will have to part with some of my hard-earned pennies, despite my resolution not to spend on anything but petrol during the week, but I really need to do some exercise or my weightloss is going to turn into weightgain :( So swimming tonight and saturday, and I may pay to use the gym for a session on a cross trainer/exercise bike on Sunday. All I have to do now is convince DH to come with me :rotfl:

Good on you for going swimming! I actually enjoy swimming, especially in the evening when it's ncie and quiet. Unfortunately I wont go when my skin is bad (which is 90% of the year) as I just can't bare the looks :(

Fingers crossed that foot is right as rain soon :D

    Monring Jules

Just did my WI - slightly disappointed as I have lost 0.8 lbs :rotfl:. Although I did have a massive KFC last weekend and some chocolate so with only doing one walk due to a colleague with a poorly leg it was bound to be minimal!

Ah well, walkies today and lots of fruit to eat. Here's to next week

    Hi Jody,
Well done on the 0.8lb :j Down is down, no matter how far, it's all in the right direction ;)
When i used to go to slimming world they said that 0.5lb/week was a good steady weightloss, and anything over that was a bonus.
I'm going to weigh in tomorrow morning, will update then. Not expecting a huge loss, as only done one lot of exercise (unless you count the 3k/10k I managed on Sunday!), but hopefully no gain either.

*wonders if only eating candyfloss and flying saucers for dinner would make a few lb magically disappear* :rotfl:

Weighed in this morning, 14st11.25lb, so half a lb off.
    Weightloss = 1.75/42lb
Quite pleased with that, since I've only managed to go swimming once this week. Here's to a better loss next week though. :)

Having a bit of a lazy day, missed the lane swimming times at the local pool so will have to go tomorrow. We're going to my best friends tonight for dinner and board games. She and I have been talking about trying the 30 day shred dvd (as much discussed on Hypno's thread), and she actually went out and bought it
I have to wait until we don't have downstairs neighbours before I give it a try here, but she's threatening to make me do it tomorrow morning  i'm scared!

I finally managed to get DH on the scales this morning, he's been protesting for a few weeks that it won't help, but how can you tell if what you're doing is working with nothing to measure against? Anyway, won't post the total here, but DH target = 56lb starting this week. Fingers crossed I can keep us both motivated.

DH's new 0% card arrived this morning, so have transferred 2 of the other cards to it. Will have to wait a few days for it to all go through so I can update all the figures, but it should allow us to move everything about and cut the interest bill :j

    Afternoon diary :)
Very quiet day yesterday, did level one of the Shred with my friend, and was totally wiped out, it was so intense. Didn't attempt swimming as well, as my legs and arms were like jelly!! Achy today as well, in really weird places :p Swimming tonight though.

Balance transfers haven't gone through yet, no idea why it takes so long, when I make a payment it goes through the next day. Have updated the snowball anyway, the new card will save us £50 a month, and has knocked 1 month off our DFD (seems a bit anti-climactic! :rotfl:). We're hoping to be able to clear my barclaycard to other cards soon, now we have 3 empty ones, which would save us another £85 a month  just have to wait for some offers to appear. Feeling quite good about the snowball today, with our increased payments once we move (£100 extra at least a month) we should definitely meet our target of being DF before my 30th, even if it's only 5 days before (payday = 21st, birthday = 26th December!). Then we can book a holiday and start saving for our house deposit in earnest.:D

All I have to do now is get through the next 17 months...... :rotfl:

Hooray :jI applied for a new 0% card at lunchtime and was accepted! We now have nearly enough empty credit card space to move the 2 remaining credit cards onto 0%. This will bring our DFD forward by another couple of months :D have updated siggy accordingly. :j
Fingers crossed for a good bonus for DH at Christmas and me in April, and we might even beat our target DFD :D

Thats great news on the cards, 0% will make a big difference :D. I almost want to ask about the shred DVD but I have a feeling I wont like what I hear so I will keep schtum :rotfl:

Well done on the weightloss too! There was no way I was walking today after spending 12 hours in the pub over the weekend so we are planning tomorrow and friday :j
