Bum  the letting agent just rang to say the house has been let
Now I don't know whether to keep looking, or go back to our original timetable of moving at the end of September?! We were only looking for price ranges when we were both taken with that house.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
4 mile run done today, hard work though I'm not sure I'm going to be ready for 10k by next sunday  I'm sure I can just keep plodding on, not expecting an amazing time! It's my first 10k after all, so whatever time I run will be a PB :rotfl:
Have decided to keep looking at houses, but only to go and see things we really like the look of for now. If we don't see anything that grabs us by the end of August, we'll start looking at the things that just look ok etc. I'm wary of looking at too many places, as when we were looking for our current flat we saw 23 places in a week (we only had 1 months notice that we had to move ) and when we picked up the keys and came for a look, we both thought is was a different flat to the one we actually applied for! Luckily it's very nice, though a bit small, and we've been quite happy until the summer arrived, but I'd like to be a bit more considered this time around!
On the money front, 1 week til payday and I have enough petrol to last without going on CC, as long as my carshare works the days she's said she's working (unlikely!) and get my expenses from my conference paid on Friday, so we can even go out for our friends birthday meal at the weekendbest money management month so far, especially with 2 weekends away at the start of the month. I never have any excess as we've set our budgets to a bare minimum and pay the whole surplus to CCs at the start of the month. I'm hoping we'll be able to increase the CC snowball to £850-900 a month after we move (based on my guesstimated SoA), which should bring our DFD forward to 2011.

I forgot to mention that the engine management light came on again on my car, so will have to get my colleague to show me what part to order next week. fingers crossed the £20 sensor does the jobLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

Morning diary,
Sleepy today, even though I went to bed early. It's all the pesky running no doubt!
Excitingly my scales have been reading 14st 13lb for the last week. I've been hovering around 15st 3-7lb for the last 2 years (after getting down to 15st3 from 16st10 eek ), but have been losing weight steadily for the last few weeks. Very exciting when the stone number changes. Still a long way to go though, my goal is for the scales to read 11st something by the end of next year. I know I could lose it faster if I dieted really hard, but I tend do well for about 6 weeks and then go a bit mental and put it all back on. So am just trying to reduce portion sizes, cheese intake and alcohol, coupled with running 2-3 times a week. Seems to be working so far, though I'll probably hit a plateau eventually and have to do something more drastic.
So weight loss target = 42lb (to get to 11st13lb)
Progress updates as I go, fingers crossed I can keep it going this timeLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Sorry to hear about the house and the car, these things always come at once don't they?
I am sure the 10k run will be fine, I think the weather is due to improve soon but I will keep my fingers crossed that it's not too hot for you! Sounds like you have all the plans in place for bringing your DFD forward as well, this year is going so fast it will be 2011 before you know it
I need to lose about 4 stone as well, I always used to be a size 10/12 before I had my daughter and the lowest I have weighed since then is 11 stone 11lbs but I think I am over 14 again now. Have decided that myself and a work colleague are going to start going for lunch time walks, starting next tuesday providing it is not piddling down.

Hi Jody
Lunchtime walks is a great idea, it's hard to be active when you have an office job. Have you thought about each getting a pedometer and seeing which of you can get the most steps each day? I always find a bit of competition spurs me on!
I'm supposed to be running right now, but I developed shooting pains up the instep of my foot last night, and it's worse this morning, hopeing a few days rest will see it right before next weekends race.
I think the last time I weighed 11st something, I was still at school.I lost my Mum when I was 16, and then had to take over feeding the family, and never developed a balanced approach to food even after I moved in with my aunt and uncle. I've been overweight all my adult life, and I'm determined to get down to a healthy weight before we start a family. I'd like DH to lose some weight as well, but not sure how to broach the subject with him
.

Foot no better today, even though I sat with it elevated all evening and iced it.
will have to go to docs on Monday if it hasn't improved. Didn't sleep well either kept catching my foot on the bed and waking up. It only hurts if I put weight on it, but I must have been trying to turn over a lot!
Restful day today, just a bit of housework and beautifying before we go out tonightLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
On the plus side, scales say 14st 11.75lb this morning
so weightloss = 1.25/42lb
Will probably undo that by eating dinner out tonight with vino, but it cheered me up!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Sorry to hear your foot isn't great Jules, do you think it will be well enough to run on anytime soon?
The pedometer is a great idea, I think I may have had one many moons ago! Did some walking today but also ate a massive cooked breakfast, no willpower!
The weightloss is a good start, I will weigh myself in the office on tuesday and we can be almost weight loss buddies if you like seeing as I have a similar target to you? I especially need to lose it if we do go to the Maldives next year, I want to be slim and beautiful in the pics :rotfl:
Have a great evening

Sounds goodI normally weigh myself on Saturday, so I'll report in then!
Not sure about my foot, been icing it and keeping it up all day, but it's still tender. Worried i'll have to miss my race next weekend.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160
