Managed to go for a run, but it was very hot and humid out, so only went 3 miles, and even that was a struggle!
Am off to the coast for the weekend with a friend, so will try and get out for a run on Saturday/Sunday morning, and leave her to have a lie in. Will probably need it to offset all the food and wine we'll consume while watching pride & prejudice and other girly films :D

I think you did very well to run even 3 miles, I could do maybe 3 metres?! :rotfl:

It seems lots of people are doing nice things this weekend, sounds like you will have a great time and the weather is supposed to stay nice too :D

Got back from Hamble a few hours ago, still trying to cool down from the car journey, soooo need a car with air con! Had a lovely weekend with my best pal, lots of vino, food and chatting, plus all 5 hours of pride & prejudice! We were staying in my father in laws sailing flat, so very mse as well :)

Managed to get out for a run today. I didn't go all weekend, even though I'd packed my running gear and plotted a 5k route on runfinder! Too much enjoyable lazing to do! It really was too hot yesterday anyway, we were eating our breakfast on the balcony at around 9ish and had to come inside because of the heat!
Nearly as hot today, but remembered my running hat and a bottle for water, so made myself go out. took it easy, only 3 miles again, and walking up the steep hills. Don't want to get heatstroke at work, I wouldn't be able to get home!
Going to try for 4 on Wednesday, most of the 4 mile course is through the woods, so it's always a lot cooler than the 3 mile course, which has hardly any shade. Need to get a few extra miles in this week as I'm off to a conference with work next week so I'll only be able to run once, and when I get back from that it's only 2 weeks til my 10k

Nothing really to report on the MSE front, apart from my first payment from Quidco on Wednesday. I can't believe how long it's taken for some of the things to clear - I bought contents insurance on December 29th, and it only cleared last month! Lots of little things have mounted up since then as well, so will be getting £80. Very welcome this month, as we're away camping this weekend, and then we've got a couple of birthday parties etc so our very small entertainment budget was looking a bit stretched!

It sounds like you had a fantastic weekend with your friend :D

Well done on running today, I spent all day in my friends back garden and I am very toasted and tender! Getting heatstroke at any time is awful let alone at work so I think you are right to take it easy for a bit!

I'm also waiting on cashback from some contents insurance through Quido, I bought mine in Feb so hoping it clears soon as it would be a nice £50 to recieve :)

I have to say I'm having difficulty seeing my brother as a responsible grown up with a baby, even though he's 25! (though I wouldn't have been surprised a few years ago if there were some he didn't know about )
He's settled down a lot in the last year though, his girlfriend is lovely, and she's had such a good effect on him. He sounded over the moon as well, I could just tell he was grinning like this :D

    Congratulations!!

My bro and his gf got pregnant by accident last year but she lost it early on. But a few weeks ago she announced she was pregnant - planned this time :D She is 19 weeks and found out she is most likely to be having a girl. She wants to know for sure so is having a 3d scan soon. My first niece or nephew!! I am the oldest of 8 children so have been waiting a long time for this!!!

Also SIL and BIL had had trouble concieving. Tried everything except IVF and have been trying for 3 years! :( Then she got pg and lost it at 13 weeks which was awful. But on sunday she has announced she is pregnant again. I think she is 6 weeks so very early on and fingers tightly crossed too! This means she will be back at normal size for our wedding to be a bridesmaid :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

    All good in baby land!
