ho hum, back to work again. I really dislike Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I always feel that after getting Monday out of the way, the week should be nearly done, but it isn't! If only we could skip from Monday to Thursday!
It's cold and rainy here again, I had to get up in the night to shut the windows as it was raining onto the walls inside (gable windows!). Of course with the windows shut, it was waaaaay too hot in our flat, so woke up feeling all sticky and hot. Bleugh!
Off to a "performance culture toolkit briefing" in a bit, one of the joys for working for a huge multinational company, there's always some new initiative or scheme. :o

I also wish I could go from Monday to Thursday! I hate tuesday although I live by the rule that once Wednesday is over that's the majority of the week done!!

We had a horrid muggy weekend in our flat, I had the fan on in the front room and it was blowing my revision notes everywhere

And congrats on the run! I don't think I would run in that heat either and then I am sure I just wouldn't go again so you did very well in my books :D

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

Just done my first complete run of the 5 mile course for next weeks race. I am officially knackered, it was so so hot out there today! Complete in 1hr15 with 2 water stops along the way, so hoping for under 1hr10 on the day :) Can't believe it's only 10 days away now, it doesn't seem like long since January when I signed up for the beginner's running and could only manage 2 mins at a time!

    Hello Diary,
Feeling surprisingly ok after the long run yesterday, I did do some extra stretching to ward off the aches and pains though!

It's DH's birthday today, so we had a nice dinner last night with some wine and a DVD :) We're off for dinner with his mum and one of his brothers tonight. We're going to a lovely Greek meze restaurant, my favourite.

Nothing much MSE to report today, apart from dinner out being free :D Expecting RBS CC statement tomorrow, so can start BT-ing the other CCs at the weekend.

    Morning Diary,
Lovely dinner out last night, but still feeling a bit too full this morning! No carshare today :j so have managed to get in early, which means I can leave at 4 :D Sadly I need to do this so I can get home and blitz the housework before we go out to the beer festival, just in case anyone ends up kipping at ours.

It's currently a bit of a tip, and the bathroom and kitchen floor are minging, but I've been knackered all week so not had the motivation to do anything about it. Luckily since we live in such a tiny flat (the whole thing is smaller than the ground floor of the house we lived in last year!), it only takes about an hour to get the whole place spotless, so I figure if I'm in by 530ish that gives me 2 hours to clean and make a stomach filling dinner to soak up all the lovely real ales. mmmmmm

Grrr! DH just rang RBS to balance transfer MBNA, and they said they couldn't currently offer him any deals. It's only about 6 weeks since they offered him one when he rang to get his PIN reissued, but there was £1200 on the card then, so we obviously weren't going to transfer anything to it!

I'm so annoyed! We used my cor money specifically to clear that card so we could BT to it - we could have cleared the MBNA one totally instead, and we would have done if RBS hadn't previously offered him a deal!!!!

Oh well, we'll let the card sit empty for a couple of months and see if they'll offer us anything then. In the meantime, back to the normal snowball process. :(

Had a lovely time at the beer festival last night, managed to only spend £30 between us, so well within budget as well! DH overindulged on the real cyders and is feeling a little delicate this morning :D

Just finished baking his birthday cake (nigella's chocolate Guinness cake) to take to our friends' this afternoon. We're going for a bbq and stopping over, looking forward to trying out their new inflatable hot tub! *goes to find out if swimming cossie still fits* :D

    Evening diary,
Had a lovely day yesterday at our friends, an inflatable hottub is going on my wishlist for when we have a garden of our own (and are debt free), it was amazing! Also had lovely bbq, and met my friend's stepson for the first time.
Wandered into town this morning, and bought 2 new running tops and some new cushions for our sitting room. Not very mse, but both needed and on bogof offers ;)
Just been out for dinner with FIL to celebrate oh's birthday, celebrations have now stretched over 5 days, but back to normality tomorrow
Up at 630 in the morning so must head to bed now!

Just back from my run, 3 miles today. This was my last run before the race on Friday, going to rest my legs until then :) Not as hard going as last week, fingers crossed that the weather stays similar to this until Friday. New running top much comfier than the old polo shirt I was wearing before, so pleased with that :)

Off home for my tea tonight. I don't think I go home often enough at the moment, I need to get more organised while we still live so close. After we move in the autumn, I won't be able to pop home for tea during the week, so need to make the most of it now.

Very tired today, I'm finding it hard to get off to sleep at the moment :( Dropped off in the car on the way to work (carshare driving today!) and slept for about 40 minutes, but I felt groggy and sick when I woke up. I get terrible carsickness, so I normally try and avoid sleeping in the car, but I just couldn't stay awake. Good thing I had no time for breakfast, or it would have been bad!
Am currently drinking my 6th cup of tea and eating my emergency Twix, hopefully the sugar will perk me up a bit.

Feeling a bit down about RBS withdrawing the balance transfer offer. They were fast enough to offer it when there was £1200 on the card, cheeky b*ggers! We'll still have finished cleared the card we wanted to BT in a few months time, but I was hoping to be able to cut down on the interest bill a bit, since we're currently paying about £200 a month in interest  it would have cut several months off our DFD.

GGGRRR at RBS - how annoying!! I need to maybe sort out another card as my wedding debt is on a Cap1 card and interest is really high. Perhaps will have a meeting with my bank!

I hope they ring and offer you something soon and you can carry on with your plan x
