It appears that links like Top 100 Posters in this post and fermi's previous Edit Options link do not work when using the old style format. They bring up a new login window but I'm obviously logged in!

Nope. I've just switched back to the old style, and they work just fine.

The url of the links are not dependant on what style you are using.

Odd problem though. Do other links to your user CP etc do that?

Sorry fermi it was a cookie problem at my end. Removed my previous post now to aviod any confusion to others - thanks for checking it though.

Although we can choose to use the old style, it only displays old style when actually logged in, which is really annoying! Will have to create a style for this forum to get over this problem as I can't actually see any advantages to the new childish button style version only distracting disavantages!

I love the new look forum, but could you please put the forum jump box back at the end of the page?
The logic is you scroll down a page, reading through the interesting threads, then when you get to the end you jump to another forum.
Now I have to go back up to do that, not very nice...

I've just changed back to the old one, I prefer the look of the new one, but don't like the way the forum jump has gone. I'll change back when it comes back :D
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

Cheers . Thought it was very odd.

You can always grab the old style CSS and set that. ;)

I use Firefox and so would set that via a custom style with the Stylish extension. May be ways to do that with other browsers....

I have suggested this before, as I think it would be beneficial for compers like myself. But I got ignored.....

While these changes sound small they're not

The thanks button is a mod we imported - to do what you want would require finding another mod or rewriting masses of code - a huge undertaking.

I know its difficult sometimes but what can and what can't be done isn't always obvious.

Vbulletin is the software we run off, its not our own kit, so altering it isn't easy. Redesigns are something that the structure allows - but changing how things operate is entirely different.

Ooh - all excited now. Just found a new feature (I think it's new). If a post has been edited you can see both old and new versions now.
How do you do that :j
