Originally they said they hadnt received them now they are saying they have only received 25. I for one will NEVER EVER deal with these people again
You used a recorded delivery service though right?0 -
There seems to be a lot of covering up for Music Magpie here. Clearly they offer peanuts for something they can easily sell on for a 200% markup.
End of.
In fairness to them though, they are a business so if a DVD is worth £10 then clearly they cannot give you anywhere near that. They rely on people wanting to get rid and I bet a lot of people will take them up on the offer.0 -

They offer a fair price. I think £1 average is pretty good for most CDs these days, considering most of them will just take up shelf space.
You can get 4 used DVDs on Blockbuster for a tenner, mostly from 2010 and prior.
I'm sure MM are making money, but it's probably just enough to keep 3 or 4 people in a job.Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0 -

Guess they make money through volume then.
I dunno who's buying all their CDs though.Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0 -

A fair price? You could get at least twice as much by selling yourself on amazon. Avoid them, they only rely on people desperate to get rid there and then. Sadly as pointed out above, they have grown to a massive size now. They have actually just had a huge investment from virgin (we are talking millions) and part of this is them being plastered all over the f1 circuit.
I don't know who is stupid to use them either but clearly someone is!
One saving grace is that its clear there is something suspect going on with their amazon selling account. It's gone very suss recently0 -
At least 2 good things have come out of them growing into a big business.
1. Jobs. That's 500 jobs that weren't there before, and that number will increase in the future
2. We're all getting access to cheaper music. Hopefully the mass sales of cheap 2nd hand CDs will make the record companies lower their 'taxes' on digital downloads. 79p for one track online or 99p delivered for the entire album 2nd hand. Hmm, I wonder..0 -

1. I cannot disagree with that.
2. True however any vast music collector does not pay for music nowadays as there is no reason to.
Right or wrong, pay £1 for a CD or get it for zero is a pretty obvious choice.0 -
