    Hi Bindiboo

Your roses have come along nicely wich way do you point you nozzle? Do you have the wider end on the outside ans do you raise and lower it slighly when icing? Have done some with a different type of nozzle which were ok but want to have a try with a petal nozzle now.
    Thanks

if i have a cutter for the job ill use it (bought the dinosaur cutter at a cake show last year) but it can EASILY be done by hand...just draw one on paper, cut it out and use it as a template.
I use colour paste to colour the fondant,

and those particular letters are called clikstix xx

thanks, I was well impressed this time round. I used the rounded end pointing down and do semi circles of icing. I think if you tilt the nozzle slightly outwards as you go round the second time you will get slightly better petals.

I have just ordered a 1m star tip so I can try doing the swirl roses as I would like to cover a whole cake in swirl roses like Ive seen, looks so pretty and not forgetting the dusting of the essential glitter.

I am making my nephews wedding cake next week, EEEKKKKK:eek:! fingers crossed it goes well.
