As promised I am reporting in from my weight in Monday and as usual I haven't lost a thing. I guess it is better than putting on but I refuse to believe that I have to stay this weight because I am getting older. It is also annoying because I was naughty and weighed myself part way through the week and had lost a pound. I have stopped using food focus which had helped, maybe I should try it again. Just been doing loads of adventurous stuff this week and don't feel as though I have stopped so maybe that will help.

Congratulations on all the weight loss

AJ - like you, I'm struggling.

But what I have realised is that it's precisely at these times, that we should continue to record our weight and post accordingly. Earlier this week I was wondering exactly why I lost so much weight when I attended slimming world classes a few year ago (I lost nearly 2 stone) and why I was finding it so much harder now.

The difference was that at slimming world, we got to know each other a bit and even when people fell off the wagon (weight wise that is), they'd continue to turn up, so everyone else could help them along. That kind of environment is very supportive and it works. We all had ups and downs, but we made it through the bad patches rather than giving up.

In contrast, when I stopped loosing weight on this thread, I stopped posting. With hindsight, I think this was a mistake... I should have continued posting. When I did finally make it back on here, everyone was very encouraging. Now it's my intention to continue to post, week in, week out, regardless of my progress. Reading other people's successes - such as Takas and TPAs - is also really inspirational!

Anyway, I suppose this is just my way of trying to encourage you not to give up, but keep at it!

    Well said! :T:T:T

You're absolutely right- we can't expect to all lose weight every week but what's important is that we keep on here and don't forget the long term goal.
2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.

Thats what we're all here for - freebie support!! I fell off the wagon big time with a massive cheese omelette and chips last night, thats after 3 bits of toast and jam a bag of french fries and a huge fruit and yoghurt bowl..... :o I expect to stay the same this week - despite salad for lunch :(

We'll never be good all the time.... I tried a low carb diet last year, lost about 10lb, no mean feat when your a veggie! Had support from a l/c forum, but my last post to them was 'Had 4 bits of toast' then bumped off the wagon and put 7 lb back on!

Now doing it in my own way - but need you guys too xx :T
