There weren't that many non-serious runners there, so I finished fifth from last, but I don't care, I did it!

Caz - Well done! Thats a really good time too! :T :T :T :TWas it hotter when you weighed in last week? Heat can cause more water retention and swelling. What kind of skating did you do? We have an ice rink near us which has been closed for refurbishment for a year, and another year to go until it reopens, I can't wait!
(Though I still need to be formally tested on 4 and 5 - they only test every month or so at the mo due to holidays.)
I skated as a kid so I'm picking it up quite quickly again. I'm just learning to have the courage to try things and how to balance with my horribly overweight body rather than the skinny ~11 year old one I had the last time I tried to do this stuff 20 odd years ago! :rotfl: I'm also rediscovering muscles I don't think I've used since then either! Ouch!I'm absolutely loving it! :j

I am finally going to claim some weight loss. I had lost more last week but wasn't well or eating much so it wasn't true, I still feel bad for now being heavier though?! I haven't done much exercise but am going on holiday on Friday and will be more active so I hope this at least cancels out the holiday eating.

It was hot on the saturday and sort of drizzly and ~18degC on the Sunday. I weighed in on the Monday morning as I didn't get my new scales till Sunday afternoon. Who knows... last week was an aberation and to be ignored - I CAN believe I lost 2.75lbs since a fortnight ago so I'm happy with that!
I'm doing Figure skating working my way through the NISA SkateUK scheme. I started going skating again 6 weeks ago. I skipped 1&2 (as I could skate forwards and backwards already), passed 3 3 weeks ago, moved up to 4 for 2 weeks then was told to move up to work on 5 starting yesterday. Apparently I just need to neaten up my forwards crossovers and I'll have done level 5!(Though I still need to be formally tested on 4 and 5 - they only test every month or so at the mo due to holidays.)

Much better weigh in today. Although i did weigh myself in the afternoon last week when the scales arrived, i am still going to claim what is probably less water on board too to try and keep myself motivated. At least i am going down again.

No loss this week but no gain either thank goodness.
My official time for the 10K is through and is 67 minutes 53 seconds, so I was pretty much spot on with my estimate - given I was timing it on a watch with no markings on the face, I'm amazed :rotfl::rotfl: I've got the entry form on my desk for another 10K in Golspie on 11th September, so I must fill that in today and send it off.
Things are about to change dramatically in the Minx household - the exercise levels are going to go up and the finances are going to be shot to pieces! Meet Merlin:
He's a 15.3hh Hungarian warmblood. I haven't bought him, he's on loan, he's staying on the owner's insurance and he comes with tack and rugs, so it's just running costs, but it does mean I need to go and buy a field shelter! Fortunately our neighbours know someone who makes them, so they're going to ring up on our behalf tonight and see if they can help us out with a discount.0 -
Ahhhhhhhhhhh Merlin is so gorgeous!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
