Bribery appears to be working :D 1lb lost, back to 10st 3lbs and Amy MacDonald's first album is on its way.

Next week's bribe is Take That - Beautiful World (currently in HMV's sale for £2.99, but I'll see if I can find it cheaper) for being 10st 2lbs or less. I'm trying to keep it cheaper than WeightWatchers ;)

ooh - I like your style! I may have toadopt a similar approach (and must remember that the bribes must NOT be chocolate or cakes!!!) :p

Lol my bribes are chocolate. I try to make sure I stay within my calorie allowance by 100 calories, meaning at the end of the day I can have 3 squares of Green & Blacks dark chocolate mint.

Will power - I want to fit in my wedding dress a LOT more than I want chocolate! Plus I'm a bit OCD and 3 squares is one line. There are 7 lines in a pack, therefore I can't have 2 lines at once as it would leave one line, therefore, can only eat one line at once. That said last night I went out for a meal so that'll be a bit of a hit to my target. But I did bank my calories for the rest of the day, and today I have some lovely M & S on the go salady things that were reduced yesterday and only 180/210 calories a pack so should come in under my target today to make up for last night.

Hmmmmm my weight loss is officialy nuts! I apparently lost 5.4lbs this week! I'm not sure that is actually possible! :rotfl: Maybe I was retaining water or something last week when I weighed in... who knows! :p

    25. Taka: -/27.4/TBA/-5.4lbs/Sunday :j

My skating class was a scarily good workout today. I was sweating buckets! I can really feel it in my thighs and abs... ermmmm... and my bum! Who knew there are muscles hiding there under all the flab! :p I suspect sitting may be uncomfortable for a few days! :o :rotfl:

To loose 5.4lbs you'd need to have a 18,900 calorie deficit between what you usually do/eat and what you did this week. You don't have a starting weight, but unless you're usually eating a kilo of cake and choccie a day while not leaving the sofa, and this week you did a marathon while existing on air, you're right there probably is an element of water retention in there! Was it hotter when you weighed in last week? Heat can cause more water retention and swelling.

What kind of skating did you do? We have an ice rink near us which has been closed for refurbishment for a year, and another year to go until it reopens, I can't wait!

Maintained over the weekend which is fair enough given we went out for dinner, think TPA already updated my half weekly weigh in so no change to officially report. Might come in on the charts as 'ideal' TPA, but it feels big to me, and more to the point despite being a size 10 in topshop and 8 in next my size 11 wedding dress is too tight, and gives a very gross back bulge, so I'm doing weights to try to firm this up. Also got my cross trainer yesterday, OH only finished setting it up this morning but I'm planning on having my first go on it when I come back from seeing my surgeon this morning. Can't do much as still only 2 1/2 weeks post op, but it'lll help me start to rebuild by thigh muscles, as after 8 months doing everything on one leg one thigh is like a rock and the other is an empty wobbly bag!

I ran my first ever 10K race yesterday :j:j:j (In fact my first race since junior school sports day!) The weather was horrible, we started out with rain for the first 3k and then the wind started - by the time I'd reached the half way point and turned for home I was running into a 35mph head wind! I don't have an official time yet, but according to my watch I did it in about 68 minutes, which I'm mega chuffed with :D There weren't that many non-serious runners there, so I finished fifth from last, but I don't care, I did it! :D:D:D

Well done Caz on your run. I'd be proud if i had even completed that, and that time seems good to me.

Dinah, i got fed up too round wedding time as my dress also had a bit of the back bulge going on. I ended up going to my mums every day after work and doing an hour on the exercise bike followed by an hours swim. I wish i had time to do the same now. Don't overdo it today on that cross trainer. Sounds like you need a lot of time there to rebuild one leg up to it.
