I've decided that resorting to bribery is going to be the best way forward for me - if I can weigh in at 10st 3lbs or less on Friday, I can get the CD I want (currently in a sale for £3.99)! Seems to be working so far, the extra lb I put on over the weekend eating vast amounts of cake for Senior Dog's gotcha day has already vanished after a lot of exercise yesterday!

Still have throat infection hanging around. Wii showed me as having lost 5lb yesterday, but putting a bit on today (1/2lb??) Will count as 4lb lost, as I hadn't eaten anything this morning. SO......

Woo hoo! I've got a 7lb star award;)(actually, I might do that for myself on the fridge... I'm so sad!! :D)

Next week I hope to NOT put back on the weight lost through being ill and to lose another 2lb would be fab - get's me into the 12's... (tried on a smaller size pair of trousers and they fit but are a bit tight on my chunky thighs at the mo - need a few more lbs off)

Seeing as I was away on Monday I missed my weight in, I am bit reluctant to weight until next Monday though. Haven't been too well and haven't eaten very much so it would be an unrealistic weigh in. I will hopefully be on form soon and be able to provide some figures.

New scales arrived this morning, so rather than doing my usual wait till weigh in, eat rubbish and start again, i am going to start now as it is realistic if horrifying me a little. I cannot believe how out my old scales were and how much i have been kidding myself

That makes me feel really bad, along with the body fat reading of 42.3%. So new weigh in day, new start, and hopefully see that number go down down down. They need to. :(

((((hugs)))) Cha... I feel your new scales pain too. :(

I purposely bought a new one that didn't measure body fat as I have so much of it to loose I couldn't face it... :o Measuring my body fat would scare me waaaaayyyyyy too much to ever step on the scales again! :rotfl:

Hopefully knowing it and sharing it will make me do something. That is nearly a stone more than what i thought. I know we ate out a few times on the holiday but also did a 10 mile cycle ride, 5 mile walk one day, several miles another day.

I didn't like what i saw in any of the holiday piccies either, so definitely time to do something about the sweet tooth and inactivity.

cha97michelle I know what you mean about holidays, we walk far more than ever and eat more healthily even if a bit too much and the weight always goes on. We go on holiday in 9 days and I am hoping to try and be no heavier when we get back, losing would be a bonus. Think of the new scales as a clean slate.

Mine have a body fat thing, but I have no idea how to find it! I like that mine weigh me in lbs, I have issues with the number at the front, so its better that I can celebrate every pound than fixate on if the front number is a 10 or 9 etc. I've started weighing myself twice weekly, just to keep motivated. Won't officially report on here until Mondays though. Today was another 1lb off, so if I can keep up the pace I'll have lost 10lbs (half of my goal) in a fortnight.

Bribery appears to be working :D 1lb lost, back to 10st 3lbs and Amy MacDonald's first album is on its way.

    cazmanian minx: 10 stone 6 lb/3lb/1 stone 6 lb/1 lb/Friday

Next week's bribe is Take That - Beautiful World (currently in HMV's sale for £2.99, but I'll see if I can find it cheaper) for being 10st 2lbs or less. I'm trying to keep it cheaper than WeightWatchers ;)
