well done taka .you must really be feeling good. did i read on another thread you have been ice skating. i used to go occasionally to m/field when i lived in edin. 20+ years ago. i was rubbish but good fun. my kids used to go but i had completely lost my confidence . i am scared of falling which is ridiculous when i have that much padding around my backside.:rotfl:

any way this week update 3lb off. been quite strict with myself and no bread  for a whole week (my stomach thinks my throat has been cut).

still cant fasten the holiday shorts - 3 weeks to go.

tpa hope things settle in your house.
you are doing a great job.

Since my mid week weigh in I've lost another 0.8lb, which I'm pretty chuffed with. So being strict does work. 2lb in total off this week, finally heading in the right direction.

OK - after joining at the beginning and then disappearing (lige got in the way and I'm a big emotional eater - no way was I not going to eat LOTS of choc) I'm back! Weighed myself last week at 13st 8lb. Weigh in is Weds. Haven't been 'good' since last Weds, but if I don't come in here and report then I'll just carry on eating and eating! Am sat here with a punnet of raspberries, rather than my usual 1/2 pkt of biscuits :-)

Will catch up on the thread later.....

Thank-you! Yes I've started going skating (... there actually! :p) as part of increasing my exercise kick. I used to do it loads (umpteen times a week) as a kid but only once in a blue moon since then so I'm really rusty! Really enjoying it! :D (Not sure my legs would agree today though... ouch!! :rotfl:) Yep not a fan of falling either... and I have substantial padding! :o :rotfl:

    Well done everyone!

I would like to join please TPA. I am still within the official "normal" weight/BMI range etc but my clothes are tighter than I would like and I refuse to believe that it is because I am getting older.

    So me...

    Age 31
    Height 5'7"
Current weight about 10 st 11
Although I would love to go back below 10 st I haven't seen that on the scales for years and would be quite happy to get to 10 st AND THEN STAY THERE!!!!!

I am not planning on changing too much with my eating. I went for a fitness assessment a few years ago and the guy calculated that I burn 1500 ish calories without doing anything so I just need to exercise up to what I eat. I have no idea what that is and do not want to calorie count as I tend to obsess about things when I start working at them and I definately do NOT want to go down that road.

Have already been swimming for 50 minutes today, if I can use this site to motivate me to exercise a bit more then that is great, I do spend most nights sitting watching tv afterall.

I am not sure what day would suit me best for a weigh in yet but will give Monday a go for now.

Apologies for the long winded post.
