Hope you're feeling a bit better this morning TPA. I'm feeling sorry for myself, proud of weight I've lost so far but just been reading SW mag about a woman the same height as me who lost a lot of weight - hmmmm, her starting weight was lower than my target goal . And she def. did look overweight before. Back to drawing board for me :(

Had a fairly inspiring week thus far. I do need to remember to not ruin it this weekend. Thus far, 4 of 8lbs gone so the goal date of 26/06/10 (Wii Fit) is looking somewhat achievable. 23.14 this morning and an hour and a half of exercise using EA Active including 30 laps of the track. I can hardly move at the moment but I'm now confident of getting under the 23 BMI mark for the first time in about 8 months tomorrow morning!

Better still, found out that I'm apparently in the very small minority of people in Scotland who don't just sit on their couch, smoke, drink, eat and moan about the state of their lives! That's if anyone puts any faith at all in the research capabilities of Glasgow Uni...

Well done Wynn and Caz. I know what you mean about self sabotage there Caz. I have a great week and then i kind of hover at 12. I must do better. I said last week i would lose 2Ib at least after not losing last week.

Gally - i would not worry too much about what the other woman did. You will be a lot healthier for getting to your target weight. Concentrate on getting there 1st, and then if you want to lose more then that is your choice. You may look better than she did at that weight. Probably best to judge it on a photo of yourself when there.

I have just been and stocked up on some goodies for the kids. I deliberately bought them stuff i know i can resist. I got some ryvita crisps things for myself. So far today i have been really good. 2 weetabix with s/skim milk for breakfast, and some homemade carrot and pulses soup. I didn't have bread but i added a few croutons. It was really filling so now i just need to not nibble between now and my dinner tonight. Speaking of which, i need to get myself sorted and get some brisket in the slow cooker or it will never be ready for tonight.
  • I'm now 10st 2lbs - historically this is the point where my brain goes 'You don't deserve to be 9st something, start eating rubbish again' and I sabotage myself. I did manage 9st 13.5lbs for one week last summer, but other than that I've been 10 something or 11 something for the past 5 years, so if I can get into the 9s and stay there, I shall be incredibly proud of myself!

I'm exactly the same, find the 10st barrier so hard to break. Reached 10st 1lb this week, and I've fallen off the wagon! Last night had a bbq with friends, lots of booze, crisps, chocolates and bread. This was not helped as I had an afternoon exam which meant I ate at 12 and food wasn't ready until 8, so literally just picked on chocolate and crisps. Not good.

Oh well we will see how it impacts on the weigh in this week. Hope everyone else is doing better than me!!:p

OK everyone - my last assignment is in, and I now have my life back.

It's a new start for me, cos when I am stressed, I crunch through packets of shortbread at an alarming rate and the results are writ large on my waistline.

So.. starting weight is 13st 6lbs and my aim to loose 3lbs by next Saturday. I'm not sure if we have a standard weigh in day?

Anyway, I'll be posting my progress, good and bad, during the course of the week. It's a beautiful day out there at the moment, so I'm feeling all sparkly and positive!

Hope everyone has a good weekend,
    QB

Hello All, Aren't you all doing brilliantly! :j Sorry I've not been around I've been doing Team Teach training this week and I'm knackered, I thought it might help me lose weight but apparently not! I've put 3lb on!!!!!:eek::eek: So I'm 1lb heavier than when I started! :(:(:( My shifts start next week so I'm hoping than it might settle down a little and I might not be quite so tired. Going to try to be very good this week and not eat rubbish!

    Hello everyone
You guys are doing really well, I'd love to join in please! I've been half-heartedly trying to lose a stone since last October... I lost 3st7 with WW a few years ago but my work hours don't suit anymore and it seems without the public weighing in I don't take it seriously enough :o
