    I did'nt know they were upgrading, Ive heard nothing?? As I am on Tiscali, I am thinking of switching provider to save some cash, has anyone got any suggestions as to who is better? :confused:

    got mine upgraded from 256k to 512 free rang them up and told them to upgrade as i was paying £19.99 for 256 and 512 was same price.
    Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

    I mailed them towards the end of january and received this reply:

    Thank you for contacting Tiscali Customer Support.

    I am sorry for the delay in responding to your email.

    Tiscali will be upgrading the existing Tiscali 512 kbps broadband package to higher broadband speeds.

    The option of upgrading the Broadband package is temporarily unavailable. This option would be provided anytime during the month of February.

    Please check our website regularly for further update on this.

    Mine has just been upgraded! It is the usual process of chasing them. Infact i just sent a shirt email and posted a message on their broadband forum was promised an free upgrade within 48hrs. Its happened

    I suggest you send a quick email. It is worth it.

    Says 10th February on the website yet I've had no emails or letters. Im going up from 512 to 1mb. The 1mb unlimited is £25 per month yet they do a 2gig download limit at 1mb for £17.99 per month.

    How do you know when you've been upgraded though?

    How can you check your lines download speed?

    Just checked my broadband speed on," online help-broadband page" then number 4 is how to optimise your connection speed. Next page click on what speed am i really getting !! and no i havent been upgraded to 5x either, awaiting an email from tiscali ?????????
