It's not just the look and feel that's been changed, is it?

I notice that when I log in and view my subscribed threads, by default only the ones that have changed since I last logged in are displayed. I can't change this default anywhere that I can find.

Also, if I delete some subscriptions and then view my subscribed threads a short time later while still logged in - all threads are shown (including deleted ones). And no - this isn't a caching issue as this didn't happen previously.

Finally, why are some of the pages designed for very wide screens only (e.g. preview a reply)?

Try the List Subscriptions option in the User Control Panel.

If someone posts an extremely wide image in the thread you are replying to (like this one) it will break the page formatting.

It may be the image problem described above but PM me a link anyway and I will check to be sure.

Oh, I was about to compliment it, but the reply window is shoved over to the right, with the rest of the content that is normally within the screen is hanging off. The menu is stretched out too.

Eer there would appear to be some coding issues.

I do like the blue buttons though!

    I'm using IE8.

Looks awesome Martin, well done to the MSE team. Hate to be in your position, spending all your time trying to help people and they have the audacity to complain when the improvements are pretty clear. You lot need to go back to dial up and the beta max!!

Keep up the good work and thank you very much for the most helpful site on the web!

Well the design now looks more up to date but...
    1. the yellowy greenish colour in every post just sort of reminds me of pus! Sorry! I feel slightly queezy looking at it! _pale_
    2. the online/offline light and the thanks/quote etc buttons are absolutely huge and too brightly coloured - like something for children! They are really distracting from the flow of the thread as they grab your attention.
    3. The smiley popup (when you hit U]More[/U in advanced reply) is really spread out with lots of dead space. It used to be far more compact so you didn't need to scroll so much or maximise the window to use it.
    4. The smileys in the advanced replying bit seem to be off the side - stuck under the RHS column with things like MSE news. Very odd!
    5. Why do quotes only have 3 grey lines round them? They are missing the RHS pale grey line to make a quote box!
(I'm using IE7 if it makes any difference)

I agree with everything above. The distracting colours and the size of everything is really cheesy.

Change is not good. (well in this instance anyway)
