Things are settling down and speed should have improved. Although you may still notice some slowness initially as your browser downloads and caches the images for the new style. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The jury is out. I would take a little while for me to judge it fairly but at first glance the bold colours make the site a bit childlike

Everybody seems to hate the thread stats box in the first post of every thread and I agree, it's in the way where it is.
I had a little play in photoshop and came up with this (see below). What do people think? All the info from the thread stats box is still there it's just moved into other unused areas of the page.

Views is already in the top bright green bar so doesnt need to be there twice.
WOW Factor I've moved next to views
F'book and twitter are in the lighter green bar next to the post number.

Top is how it is now, bottom is how I changed it.

I personally like the colours but I do agree with others on the layout,
the speed has picked up again now so thats good :j

Back to v1 for me. The green and the font size are making me dizzy.

It doesn't bother me. It's only there on the first post. It's not like it's in every one.

Personally, I think its okay....:D...It may take just a little bit of time to get used to, 'cos perhaps none of us really like change initially.:)

Well the design now looks more up to date but...

1. the yellowy greenish colour in every post just sort of reminds me of pus! Sorry! I feel slightly queezy looking at it! _pale_
2. the online/offline light and the thanks/quote etc buttons are absolutely huge and too brightly coloured - like something for children! They are really distracting from the flow of the thread as they grab your attention.
3. The smiley popup (when you hit U]More[/U in advanced reply) is really spread out with lots of dead space. It used to be far more compact so you didn't need to scroll so much or maximise the window to use it.
4. The smileys in the advanced replying bit seem to be off the side - stuck under the RHS column with things like MSE news. Very odd!
5. Why do quotes only have 3 grey lines round them? They are missing the RHS pale grey line to make a quote box!
