I really don't like it at all. You seem to have made everything really big and bold. The massive "online" icons for example, and the vibrant blue action buttons. This is not necessary and distracts from the actual threads.

It seems that it has become more focused on functions of the MSE website than the actual users' content on which the website is based.

I don't like the massive thread stats box on each thread either. It is entirely unnecessary and gets in the way of the actual content. Could you not just put the thread views back where it was in the header and maybe some very tiny facebook/twitter buttons? You already have the necessary buttons at the bottom of the page, why have them there twice?

It's horrible, I'm sorry to say. It's like the Tellytubbies have got hold of what was a functional, well laid out site and made it all soft and fluffy. Going for 'cute' works when the intended audience is kids, but for a serious forum it doesn't really work.

Exactly my comparison's point. I don't like it, and no, that is NOT a knee-jerk reaction as Crazy Jamie would like to believe.

ok the spam button was underneath the thread but also underneath the last post which could then be classed as spam

i really don't like the 'thread stats' box, it seems to be too large and just generally in the way, not sure if this is in all forums but def appears in the comps one

also, when people have really long sigs (specifically loads of words all crammed into one long sentence, with no spaces) the page stretches right across, which is annoying
