I guess we all know it is currently running slow, so I won't mention that ;)

I would be pretty ambivalent toward the change if it wasn't for what has happened to my UserCP, specifically the much reduced column width of Forum name in the subscribed tables. This makes a phrase like "Unsubscribe from this forum" wrap to 3 lines. Add the title, description and subforums and I can now only see 1 subscribed forum on the screen before I have to scroll down, whereas previously I was able to see at least 5. (I'm assuming this is the same for everyone) This isn't workable for me so I have to change back to V1.

Is there a post that details what changes have been made, so that I don't have to turn Sherlock and try to deduce them all for myself? Also, is the option to stay with V1 going to remain for the foreseeable future, or is it just a short term thing to silence critics?

Come on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.

Hmmm, incredibly slow for me too. Well done on the new look/layout though, I think it looks much better: more 'modern'... fingers crossed you can get the speed issue sorted soon, think I will leave it till this evening to come back and see if it's any better for me.

    Like it overall though :T

To those of you who "don't appear to have that option", click "edit options" on the left-hand menu of your User Control Panel, then go right down to the bottom where it says "change skin", and use the dropdown to select "MSE V1" instead of "MSE V2", then click Save.

I must admit that I am slightly baffled by the overwhelming negative reaction regarding how the new forums look. I can only assume that it is a somewhat knee jerk response based on nothing more than being used to the old style. The simple fact of the matter is that, compared to other major forums on the net, the old layout was an absolute mess and just looked incredibly amateurish. The new style is cleaner, brighter and is just a lot more welcoming. People have suggested that it will put newcomers off, but I think quite the opposite; it is clearly a superior design to the old style that will encourage new members rather than discourage them.

I also did have to have a little bit of a smile about people complaining about all the green. The forum has always been green; it was just previously the headers were in a very washed out green that made it look like they had been through the washing machine too many times.

The only gripes thus far are twofold. First, the performance, which in a way makes sense because there is more to load with the new look, but it still shouldn't be this slow.

The second is that in the User CP it would be much betterif the margins were altered for the subscribed forums. Currently you have the forum name plus the subscription options in a very small box, which stretches the whole list out with the forums that have longer names.

Not too sure on the look, but pages loading far to slowly, think I will be taking a break until the speeds are back up to scratch :)

Couple of things. Theres no longer the icons to the left of the forums on the main page which tell you if theres new posts in that forum.

Font size is possibly a size too large? it makes everything too streched out and overfalling onto the next line.

Far too slow - losing the will to live here.

I use the competition forum and navigate across by using the 'next thread' button to find the next competition. I feel this has now dropped below the reply box, which means further to scroll to find every post. It is slowing everything down even more.
