Minor issue: when you edit a post (the first post of a thread) the thread stats box clashes with the quick-edit box.0

The stats box is pointless really, why do we need it?:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0

Just logged on and thought id check it out, it doesnt look too bad actually, not sure if i like the amount of green but im able to cope with it0

While you're at it, you can disable the "Resource Toolbar", the huge "Important, This is an open forum" banner, and the "Forum Etiquette" and "Fun Stuff" sidebar boxes:forums.moneysavingexpert.com##DIV#MSEResourceBar forums.moneysavingexpert.com##DIV#forum_top forums.moneysavingexpert.com##DIV[style="width: 202px; margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px;"] forums.moneysavingexpert.com##DIV#funstuff_layer
Makes for a much cleaner MSE experience, especially on netbooks where vertical space is at a premium -no need to scroll down for two pages before you see any actual content.poppy100 -

Guys IMO you are highlighting all the wrong things. In a post the new text in the body of the post is obviously the most important part whereas the bits quoted are just there for reference. In the new look you have the quotes with a green background overshadowing the new text. Likewise the Join date etc. bar at the side is background information yet you also highlight that with a green background. The end effect IMO is to make the page look too busy making it a strain to concentrate on the import bits. I'd prefer if you got rid of these two new blocks of background colouring.
IMO the thanks, quote etc buttons were better in the darker blue, again the new ones look too distracting.0 -
Hi,Martin it looks great,so to you and the team, thanks for all your hard work,i will be staying with the new look(cool).:T:beer:0

The little box with a downward facing arrow to open the thread at the last read post is too small and pale and insignificant...and I rely on it.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. You say be gentle as you've worked for hundred of hours on this. Difficult.
IMHO only, it's a dreadful dirty grey/green colour, buttons like something off a kiddies web site (or an American one), different pages different widths...can you explain why you tried to fix what wasn't broke? In my 3 years as a serious user of the site it's the 3rd change and it's getting rather tedious. If you really want to do a little something constructive bring back the smileys which we were told offended people - considering the amount who asked for them back, are you just pleasing the minority?
Ah well, we just use the site. The voice of the majority doesn't count it seems, and it won't go back to the previous, perfectly workable method. C'est la vie.0 -

Errm, it does not need too you can choose V1 or V2 in your user control panel, as in fermis post #199, if you dont like it use version one simples;)0 -
Well, there seems to be so much whingeing about the colours that I thought I must be suffering from false memory syndrome.
I went back to V1.
It is green as well, and without doing spectral analysis I'd say they are almost the same colours as before. The beige version was way back, and plenty of members have never seen it.
I think it's fine, it'll grow on me, and I reckon other people will get used to it fairly quickly as it isn't radically different, a colour band on the left, posts bordered in a colour that isn't black, a couple of revised icons, and so on.
I agree with a few points already made, grumbler's remark about the logo for pinned thread, the multi-quote button colour change not being that apparent (but it probably doesn't matter too much), and others
Something minor that occurs: I'm not colour-blind, and I may be wrong, but I suspect the red or green versions of the 'light' to show if a user is online or offline look fairly similar. Ok, it's not too important, but I'd go back to grey and green or at least have different brightness
Oh, and I think the folder description, or whatever name it has, the bit at the top which saysMain site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums> MoneySaving & The Site> Site Feedback: Questions & suggestions > New Look Forum - Hope you like it (you can change... (Page 6)
... has got further away from the top of the thread body at the moment, in a smaller font, slightly indistinctive above the graphics about help etiquette rules etc, and I'd be tempted to move it down a bit if possible, as that is something that people scroll to when they've finished on the thread0
