    I got mine yesterday, bit of a wait but to be fair I was kept informed all the way through and overall I'm very happy!!

    Well done Sunglasses-shop, I think you did the best you could. I'll be back when I need a new pair!! Good call MSE, and good work in the background.

    End result? Oakley sunnies and I paid £26.50 all in.

    Just to say my Oakley Jupiter glasses turned up on Monday, slight delay but not Sunglasses-Shop it was UPS missing them in their warehouse. Very happy with the deal!

    Well I should hopefully have my Ray Ban Wayfarers by the end of today with abit of luck. I had an email two days ago to say my order had been dispatched and did I have my glasses, then another email a couple of hours later saying they should be dispatched ASAP?? Then finally another email stating that they had definately been dispatched lol.

    I have chosen an alternative pair as the ones I ordered originally had unfortunately gone to everyone else who decided to order them after me so it seems :(. The ones I have chosen now will probably end up on ebay and the money I will make will go towards buying my initial choice. Interestingly sunglasses shop are selling these specs for £88.00 and when I typed the same pair into google, it seems two other UK based stores (recommended by google) are selling them for £74.99. I think when I work out how much I've saved I will be paying £59.00 in total so I've saved about £15 in all. It just makes you wonder how other UK online stores sell them £13.00 cheaper, when sunglassesshop have said that they are losing money by selling them at this higher price. Maybe they need to change their suppliers, or recognise that their customers aren't as gullible as they assume?

    It was a good deal, but its a shame the communication between all three parties has been so bad. I certainly won't be tempted by any offers from mycitydeals in the future, and I think I've told so many people about my experience, I don't think either company will benefit financially from any of my friends, family, and work colleagues either.

    I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses but the £50 was not automatically taken off the value of my order. I checked with the online help assistant (via instant chat) to see what was going on before I placed my order and they told me to pay the full price and that the £50 would be refunded to my card.

    The order appeared to have been placed correctly and I have had an email saying they are being made up for me but I have not yet checked to see if the £50 has been refunded to my card.

    To be fair to the company I did ask for an email to confirm that they would do this before I ordered and they did send this so I do at least have some redress should I need to complain...

    This was a reasonable deal (not fantastic) but it was very painful to achieve the saving i.e.not being allowed to use the code before 12pm, price changes, amounts not deducted as stated they would be etc. Looking back I probably shouldn't have bothered but before I knew that there would be these problems I had purchased the voucher from MCD and I didn't want to go through hassle of trying to get a refund of that.

    Martin - I would recommend yhou avoid these sorts of things in the future, I think you have been in receipt of a side swipe of the shi**y stick that has hit both MCD and sunglassesshop...

    I have just ordered my prescription glasses but the same thing happened!! I cannot see any links for a phone number or live chat - is it due to the weekend? So I have emailed them. I am getting a bit of a panic on now can anyone help?

    I hope you have more luck than me, i`ve been waiting two weeks now for a refund on an item that they couldn`t supply after taking the payment!!!
    They have stopped replying to emails and online chat is just a waste of time as they hang up when the don`t want to help!!

    morning guys

    Just an update I rang the Sunglasses Shop this morning and spoke to Mary, she said they are doing prescription glasses in the offer, she took my receipt number and voucher code and said she would process a £46 refund.

    She said it should take a week!

    Fingers crossed

    Hi I had a bit of a fiasco with this whole thing.But after a few emails back and forth Ive finally been emailed to say Il get a refund from the sunglasses shop within 7 days and I got from My City Deals just now,

    "Thank you for your e-mail.

    We have now refunded £17.50 to your method of payment.
    Please allow up to 5 working days for this payment to clear.
