as mentioned the wrong size aviators arrived yesterday, 62mm came when i ordered 55mm !!
i posted them yesterday at a cost to me of £5.50 special delivery. the sunglasses shop received them today but have not had time to rectify the problem and send me the correct ones out yet.
with the bank holiday the earliest they can now post the correct shades i ordered is tuesday for wednesday delivery. thats if they do manage to sort it out on tuesday.
not really happy, how hard can it be to post the correct item? as soon as i opened the cardboard box from them the label had 62 on it and i knew instantly they would be wrong.
if they cant post out on tuesday for me then i will ask for a refund. its hard work this lol !!! going to be 2 weeks now from point of ordering to getting the correct shades.0 -
My Oakley Tightropes arrived on Wednesday, no problems experienced except the price rising £7 or so before I ordered. Hopefully I'll be getting a refund for this amount as confirmed in Sunglasses shop's copy past response to my email earlier in the week, but no sign of anything yet.0

After having a problem with the code I finally got it reset and ordered some silver mirrored aviators on Sunday. I had heard nothing by early Friday morning so I got onto the 'chat' feature and asked for an update on my order, saying that I desperately need them for the end of this week due to my honeymoon.
The girl said she'll get them posted that day, to be with me today (Post Fri, with me Tues), and they've arrived today, well within the advertised 7 working days.
No invoice came though, which could be a problem if I ever need to use the warrenty.
Now I've got a question. The nose pieces are too far apart, to adjust them do I just bend the tabs inwards?0 -
My raybans arrivived yesterday, really pleased with them. 10 ten days to deliver, but with the bank holiday wasn't too bothered.
Overall very happy.
I did not receive an invoice either.0 -

I've just gone on the live chat on sunglassesshop and been told my glasses are out of stock. I ordered them within an hour of the promotion being launched and they've ignored all my emails, and now after the first live chat operator ignoring my question, the second has told me they that. Unbelievable, I'm so angry. I've waited 13 days now and it seems they were not even going to give me a status update on my order.
In a time where businesses are struggling to stay above water, I really hope sunglasses shop go under. They really do not have a clue how to treat customers, and are possibly the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. In future if the deals looks too good to be true, it probably is!!

I finally got notification of a refund from mycity deals yesterday after nearly 2 weeks.
Even though they said that the prices were normal again I could not be bothered with all the hassle of choosing the glasses, finding they were out of stock..waiting ages etc.. like some people on here have unfortunately had to.
Don't think I will use either site again.0 -

I definitely won't be using mycitydeals again, far too much hassle! Still havn't received my glasses, no answer to my emails from either company and still not been credited with my voucher which despite following the ordering instructions was not taken off, therefore my acc. debited with full amount, so had to transfer money to cover. Deffo not impressed:mad:

Still haven't recieved my glasses. Going to enquire about it on live chat today, been well over the 7 days, ive been patient but its taking the mick now.
A big thankyou to mse for putting me onto such a great deal involving 2 reputable, honest companies. I think its pretty obvious to all that sunglasses shop would never be able to cope with such demand, and mycitydeals business plan is heavily flawed, agreeing contracts with suppliers who are then allowed to put their prices up????? Id suggest mse never promote an offer involving these con merchants again and should actively discourage moneysavers from using them.0 -
Ive been watching this thread from the very beginning- didn't know whether or not to risk buying from the sunglasses shop or not but decided to take a risk. I ordered my glasses on Saturday 29th May and I received them by Wednesday 2nd June...and this was over the bank holiday period!
Im sorry there are a few of you having issues with it all and I hope it gets resolved but I just wanted to say thanks to MSE and sunglasses shop for seeing this deal through to the end. It can't be easy being a small company getting bombarded with hungary consumers wanting a good deal! Hopefully lessons have been learnt.0
