I wish I had never taken up the deal, after all this time, i have no glasses and no refund!, not happy and now i am left with a £50.00 voucher that I will never use as the service i have received is not up to scratch. has anyone else managed to get their money back from mycitydeal??
  • No luck...

The sunglasses I wished to purchase have increased by about £40, I remember them being about £55... "Oakley Fives Squared Polished Black Polarised" Can't post a link to them I'm afraid.

I've e-mailed twice but had no response on both occasions.

I plan to ring them tomorrow morning, in someone's post I noted down a telephone number so I'll see what they can do. Ideally I still wish to buy the glasses but I'd happily take a refund now... it's all quite frustrating.

I'm not impressed by their lack of contact, and appreciate the help that is being given here :)

    Not Again
  • My stuff arrived a couple of days ago. I have had a couple of emails explaining the problems and for the amount I saved, I was more than happy to give them the benefit of the doubt and the extra time to dispatch my order. If a similar deal came up again I would have no qualms ordering from them again.

Finally seem to have got somewhere. E mailed and staked claim for refund to head off at the pass as soon as problem highlighted. (I was one who ordered as soon as the window opened on the 20th). Received shades 3rd June -asked 3 times what was happening, waited the 7 days after delivery for refund which hadn't arrived so 'phoned sgs yesterday. Today had independent e mail from RBS Worldpay to say credit applied against the original transaction so looking better now.

Only problem after all this time and nightly e mails is that with my £105 Rayban cool polarising lenses for £60 I can't read the lcd screen on the satnav !!!!!!! so they'll probably end up on e bay!

Easier to stick to cashback credit cards and buy something you can try first, saving your registration privacy.

Saving a small amount on everything this way plus the usual timely gas, electricity and mortgage rate fixing and switching and TopCashback single registration is enough for me.:)

In my case as per some of the other posters the glasses aren't in stock and theyve tried offering alternatives. At the moment i am going to be patient and wait for my glasses so dont see much that mse can do for me unless theyre going to deliver the new stock.

I am also quite annoyed that it wasnt mentioned in the email that cashback (i believe £5) could be earned through quidco. And yes i am aware you have costs to pay, the site is free etc etc. But surely you could have mentioned it, not everyone would have gone through quidco so you would have still got a large chunk of the cash.
I have obviously got this site completely wrong, i was under the impression that you made people aware of the best deals, the ways they could save the most money, 'consumer revenge' as you put it. I think there is a bit of a conflict of interests in this case.
And before people start this isn't an outright attack on the site, i appreciate the work mse do, its just that this whole affair has left a very sour taste in the mouth.

The link posted by the other user is the correct glasses, so they were £55.25.
