In my case as per some of the other posters the glasses aren't in stock and theyve tried offering alternatives. At the moment i am going to be patient and wait for my glasses so dont see much that mse can do for me unless theyre going to deliver the new stock.

I am also quite annoyed that it wasnt mentioned in the email that cashback (i believe £5) could be earned through quidco. And yes i am aware you have costs to pay, the site is free etc etc. But surely you could have mentioned it, not everyone would have gone through quidco so you would have still got a large chunk of the cash.
I have obviously got this site completely wrong, i was under the impression that you made people aware of the best deals, the ways they could save the most money, 'consumer revenge' as you put it. I think there is a bit of a conflict of interests in this case.
And before people start this isn't an outright attack on the site, i appreciate the work mse do, its just that this whole affair has left a very sour taste in the mouth.

Are you sure? I cannot see MCD on Quidco or TCB?
    Link please.

The link posted by the other user is the correct glasses, so they were £55.25.

Like the other poster said, they are not polarised though.

I'm well pleased, I think that if you speak to them on online chat they will hurry your order, where as the people who arent bothered will just have to wait.

    Did anyone else get http://www.sunglasses-shop.co.uk/uk-sunglasses/Ray-Ban-Sunglasses/Ray-Ban-3025-Aviator-Gold-Mirror-W3276/2579.htm

I looked at Google Cache and it's been updated too recently :(, I'm pretty sure they weren't £88 before, does anyone know what bottom tier of aviator prices were?

Thanks, yeah I knew they were about £55, would still really like them... just about to phone :)

I assume it wasnt the Polarised you wanted then (that is what you posted)

If it was the standard squares, yes they were £55 BUT they went out of stock almost imediately as they were the cheapest Oakleys available.

I know because they were the ones I wanted.

  • Got my clubmasters quick enough, am very happy with them. Only gripe I had was there was no confirmation of the details of my order (ie model, size etc - I got the pmt conf). Am a happy bod

I bought my voucher on 19th May & my glasses on 20th May.
I emailed both MyCityDeal & The Sunglasses Shop on 26th May to check the payments had been made as I had heard nothing (I later found the verification emails regadinging payments - £17.50 via payPal on 19th May & £25.50 via RBS Worldpay on 20th May - so know that that can't be the problem).
I emailed The Sunglasses Shop again on 6th June to query why I hadn't heard anything. So far I have not had a response & there is no sign of my glasses - it will be 3 weeks tomorrow since I placed my order.
I'm going on holiday on Saturday, so if I don't receive them in the next couple of days the whole thing will have been a waste of time & I will have to go through the ordeal of claiming refunds, etc.
I won't be touching this type of deal again - as many have said 'if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is'.

After a lot of stress & many emails I finally managed to find someone willing & able to help (Jamie). They managed to get the glasses to me today, so just in time for holiday!
Hope others still without their glasses either receive them soon or manage to get their refunds. What a palaver - not something I'll be rushing to do again anytime soon.
