Anything bad about Htc desire

  • Hi

Ive had an Iphone for about 9 months now and love it... I have played with the Desire and liked it but would be worried about how well it will be standing in 12 months time. Im quite hard on phones and as to date the iphone is going strong!

I dont see it a major issue not having a removable battery or memory card... this was a worry initialy but with 32Gb of storage u dont need anymore, and the battery isnt an issue u just get into the habit of charging it often, mines always docked so dont ever bother me! You also dont have the worry about the back falling off!

I think only time will tell as to if the Desire can compete with the Iphone, it certianly has some good features and is well priced!

Do they remove the battery first?

It's very easy to install. I did it without having to ask for help on here. :D

The first time I heard that, the subject of discussion was the 4k Commodore PET. It was wrong then and has been every time it's been repeated since. You may not need any more. I'll take all the storage I can get.

It might bother you when the battery stops holding charge. I haven't had a mobile phone in 18 years that hasn't eventually needed a new battery.

It does seem to be a poor design that you have to remove the battery to change the SIM card or memoy card but then my old Nokia was the same. Still, ask an iPhone owner to show you how they change the memory card on their phone. ;)

Battery life does seem to get better but it's not great, but then it's not great on any smartphone with a large touch screen.

Isn't this the same jonasl hack that maxtweenie had mentioned a week or so ago. Was busy otherwise hence couldn't get to use the mod version of the keyboard. Will try it on Wednesday probably.

One thing that I have never worried about with any phone is the back falling off, but if that is a major concern of yours then the iphone is the one for you;)

Corrected your post a wee bit too to make it more accurate

If your phone is always docked must limit it's "mobile" capabilities somewhat

What do you like about it? What are the advantages?
