No I dont him and I have absolutely no idea if they managed it or not, frankly I dont care, I'm with them now (been with them since July) and very pleased with them. Prices are fixed (WAY below UW prices) and they give the 3% interest on credit (much more use to me than faffing about with some stupid prepay card)
Hows the Sainsburys basic curry sauce diet going by the way?
You have no idea and you don't care? Wow. Anyway, just so you know, according to Neil Faulkner of lovemoney in his article dated 9/5/10, they had 30,000 customers then.
PS Are you getting me mixed up with Meeper, btw? Isn't he who you think he might be?I'm Spartacus.

I couldnt really give a monkeys who any of you are to be honest, people seem to come and go on this thread (usually the "pro UW" funnily enough)
Like I said earlier (that you carefully ignored) I'm big enough to admit to my mistakes without resorting to having to sign up with another user name to cover them up
Edit: Also, not sure what you are trying to prove by posting that? That someone from an energy company made a comment that didnt happen? Hardly groundbreaking news is it??Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Another great announcement from UW - the "Cheapest" mobile tariffs - guaranteed.
Perhaps we can add this strap-line to the responses in a similar vein to the previous ones.....Any new reader of this forum should be aware that the gas and electricity from UW may not be the cheapest, and also be aware that the mobile tariffs from UW may be the cheapest.

A vague statement with nothing to back it up. Pay as you go or contract? What network is it piggy backing off? What are the costs?
Plus Asda Mobile promise the same thing and I'm more likely believe them.0 -

I just posted it as yet another example of the double standards at play on here - we all know that if a UW distributor had posted such an outlandish claim which turned out to have absolutely no basis in reality then the wrath of people like yourself would have been incurred. You must have thought the claim had some semblance of truth or you wouldn't have posted it here leaving you potentially open to ridicule later. By my reckoning, according to lovemoney's customer numbers for OVO as at 9/5/10, they had less customers than UW had distributors. This hasn't been your finest week in this thread, Plushchris.
Ps Just read on another forum a post, presumably from a distributor, that it's £20/mth for unlimited calls and unlimited texts. No idea if this is monthly contract or payg, though. If true, is that good? I'm no expert on mobiles, TBH.0 -

If Mike is talking about PAYG.
UW claim.
"ValuePay
Our traditional 'Pay as you Go' tariff (with no line rental) is up to 50% cheaper than other networks."
https://www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk/home/mobile/tariffs.taf
Their tariff is 12p a min to UK Landlines and Mobiles and 10p a text.
Numerous suppliers beat this Asda.Tesco, Giffgaff,Family Mobile all offer payg tariffs 8p a minute calls and 4p a text.
Mike if your talking about contracts care to post a link please to the UW "Cheapest" mobile tariffs - guaranteed.0 -

Hold your horses, Ypaymore, apparently the new tariff isn't officially announced until Monday but, according to what I read on another forum and actually posted a couple of posts up, it's going to be £20/mth for unlimited calls and unlimited texts. No idea if this is correct, it's not my information, but if true and I'm assuming it is SIM only, then the cheapest deal offering this seems to be asda at £25/mth. I'm assuming there will be a min contract length, though?
Basically, if the info is true, it means for £33.25/mth a punter could get phone line rental, unlimited landline calls (01,02.03 prefixes), unlimited mobile calls, unlimited text, unlimited 0870 weekend calls and unlimited weekend calls to 10 top European destinations.
Add £9.25 to get up to 24mb BB with 40gb download limit per month and also get unlimited evening calls to 0870 and those ten top international destinations, so £42.50/mth. Use the card and this could be considerably cheaper, of course. Oh, and monthly billing on one combined bill. But let's see what's announced before we do speculate any more.0 -

Hi Ypay
As you can appreciate, I can't post a link before it goes live, which is planned for next week. In answer to your question, however, it does refer to the "contract" basis.

Double standards?
I suppose someone who uses multiple identities to post in support of UW would be an expert on that subject.0 -
