This thread is for discussing uw, you have been advised how to use MSE for details of other prepay cards.

Once you eventually told us how much you were paying we can see whether it can be bettered. I have shown you where to look!

As regards keeping your cashback for yourself, you already told us you get cashback off another card which you don't use in Sainsburys! If you don't want to research other ways of paying less at Sainsburys (for your own benefit, rather than uw's) you can use that other card of yours and keep all that cashback for yourself!

The poster made their first post on this thread this morning, the way you write, you would think you had to wait weeks for the information, not hours! Some people have a life and don't post on here all day.

So what is the point you are making?

I didn't complain that the (satisfied with his bill) poster took a long time to reply did I?

If you had read the posts you would see it took 3 requests for the info needed to see if his claim was accurate. It's no good posting here to tell us how good uw is cos you only pay £x a month after cashback - only the gullibles fall for that one.

"Eventually" after the third request for the full info he told us, and was shown how he could get a cheaper deal!

Now who's stonewalling? :D Anyway, you've been extremely helpful. Thank you. ;)

PS I've checked out the info you've 'provided' and am struggling to find this 'better deal'. You seem to be the person in the know, be a darling and give me a hand.

The rules are changed on here by a few posters when it suits! Somebody provides a link to a card that has nothing what so ever to do witH UW, yet nothing is said to him by the forum police, yet when you ask for more information on said card, you are told that this thread is only for discussing UW!! :rotfl:

At least you got an answer, how long have I been waiting for answers to my questions regarding the babee card from you. In fact, I'm STILL waiting, lol. Then, when you boasted you could get me a better deal if I was to provide full info, after I provided it all you came up with was 2 links to info on phone line rental and broadband. I feel you have promised lots and delivered little (I'm being generous here).

Sorry you aren't satisfied with the savings shown in those articles. Blame MSE, not me!

Why would I blame MSE?? They have never claimed I could get a better deal, you have. Surely the onus here is now on you to provide me with a better deal on the package I've described in detail )as per your request). Why else would you ask for the details if it wasn't to personally show me the better deal?

PS There ARE no savings to be found for me in those articles as far as i can ascertain, which is why i asked you for the help you promised (boasted about?) earlier...

    Hi Millicent

Welcome to the UW Thread. :rotfl:

The good news for you is that ASDA is coming on board in January at 3% and Sainsburys is going down to 3% as well.

One other advantage not often mentioned is that you can purchase a large variety of "gift" cards from Sainsburys which also attract the UW card discount / cashback / credit. (Delete as appropriate).

The reason that there isn't a thread in other areas is that it has been directed by MSE that any discussion of UW may only take place on this thread. This may change in the future, but for now this is the only place.

    Happy posting.

    Mike

Thanks for the info, Mike by the Sea. Interesting info. Disappointed about the Sainsburys decrease TBH but in my case that would seem to be tempered by the Asda news! Back of fag packet calculations suggest I will 'lose' £1/mth cash back from January, I can live with that (I'm assuming M&S is staying at 5%, though??) I'm surprised (and pleased) about Asda joining the cash back card scheme as I didn't think they did 'stuff' like that?

Anyway, thanks for the welcome and info. Talking of info, where has Quentin gotten to?? :D So far, I've been extremely disappointed at the discrepancy in what he promises and actually delivers.
