Were I making this up, don't you think the uw reps who come here promoting uw (and never mentioning things like this and them no longer including 0845 numbers in their "unbeatable" call plans) would have corrected me by now?

I didnt say you were making this up, I was asking for a source so that I could thank you for the info :) My cashback thus far has tallied up on the gift cards, so haven't seen any evidence yet myself that you no longer get it.

You could be mistaken, just as you were when you said I hadnt declared I was a distributor and just as you were when you said cashback couldn't be obtained by business customers. I'm still awaiting that apology

By business customers, I mean those customers who do very well being part of UW and whom you never comment on (same as those fantastic mobile customers paying only £20 a month for unlimited texts and minutes).

They use T-Mobile, which I believe has now merged with Orange, so arguably the biggest coverage in the UK.
I don't think the "combination" of cover is working yet.

You are wanting an apology because it has been pointed out you were a rep for uw after you made a misleading and promotional post for uw (on 28/12/10, post #687):

.... if you have a business (or are self employed as a sole trader), you can take an NGN (IE 0871 number) for £4 a month (including fee) and you can get a cashback card.....

You took umbrage and pointed out you had declared your connection:

in my first post here I said I was a UW distributor

That first post was made on 19th August 2010 (post #120), and there were some 560+ posts in the thread between them. And you demand an apology because I pointed out to another poster who queried the contents of that misleading post (#687) that it came from a uw rep! Come off it!

And now you try to say I have lied over business customers and the risky cashback card

I already gave you the source for this:

UW reps don't bother with the detail - we see that time and again when they spam here.

Their customers are drawn from their friends and relatives who just don't expect that their rep (ie their friend/relative) would mislead them like this.

Cherrydvt uses this forum to mislead (and neglects to declare he is a uw rep when doing so)!

This is from the risky uw card's ts + cs:

We reserve the right not to pay any Cashback where we believe the Card has been used, wholly or partly, for business use

Maybe you should take this up at "source" ie. your own company's ts + cs before using the "mistaken" accusation and righteously coming here long after the event demanding an apology!

Or is it more nigewick type behaviour just to cause trouble?
  • Seeing as being called a liar clearly upsets Quentin, shall we be generous and say he's frequently economical with the truth/proof. :p
For instance, he's quite happy to recommend buying discounted store vouchers/gift cards which are sent by ordinary post but calls the UW cash back card 'risky' LOL.

What if he's not on LLU? What price would that be?

Depends on what tariff they are on.

Have you got a source for that quentin please? I dont understand how the UW card can pick up what is purchased exactly, surely it just sees an "amount"?

I wouldn't say he's a liar, he just hates it that other people have freewill and see through him. ;-)
Quentin lied about me personally and (s)he was caught out on another occasion. (S)He was asked for an apology but refused using words to the effect "that's not what I meant."

I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company.

Why continue with this unless you hope for trouble to break out?

I have not lied about you, nor been "caught out" lying on another occasion.

And definitely never refused to apologise to you because "that's not what I meant" - as I have never lied about you, why would I?

As previous, nigewick, repeatedly making these unfounded personal attacks (which you now have taken to embelish) just let you and your company down.

    Put up or shut up.

Some uw reps who post here are clearly uncomfortable when they are exposed misleading us, when their despicable training methods are exposed, when they are corrected over misleading us etc etc.

Now they take to personal abuse as their only resort, (in the face of "sources" and proof being given), is to make personal jibes about another posters mental health, and to repeat the liar mantra.

All this just goes to reinforce the way people will look at your company, the methods it uses and the type of people they employ.

Meanwhile, the company seems to be going from strength to strength and I believe the share price is 'just about' (I'm using Cardew's definition here :p) at a record high, despite all your efforts in attempting to 'destroy' them. You're really not very good at this sort of thing, are you? I hope you experience more success in your 'regular' job.

On-topic: I got the new Sim Only Mobile flyer in with my bill the other day. I'm sure these new deals will prove very popular, especially as 'just about' :p 350,000 people will have seen them. They really are a superb deal, even more so for existing customers already paying the club fee. 3000 minutes (50 hours!) of calls and totally unlimited amount of texts* for £20/mth on a 30 day rolling contract is absolutely unbeatable in the marketplace from what I have seen (Asda mobile charge £30, for instance, and 'only' allow 2,000 minutes and 2,000 texts!). The fact that these sim only deals also contribute to the free global calls scheme makes them even more desirable.

    * Subject to texting to less than 100 different numbers.
