Freecle / freecycle and balloons on sticks

I've used Freecycle twice and so far, the people who have wanted it haven't showed up for it!
So in the end, they went in the blue bag for recycling and the local charity shop with a gift aid sticker on.Competition Wins:

I once advertised a load of stuff suitable for car booting detailing it was brick-a-brack, books and kids clothes. Had a lady from a charity contact me and ask for it which I was pleased about. When she turned up she spent the whole time we were loading her car complaining it wasn't what the charity normally sold and that she would have to decide what they were going to do with it!!! I suggested that maybe her charity weren't that needy if they could pick and choose and she didn't need to take it but she took it anyway *sigh* left me with the distinct feeling she would just throw half of it awayGood Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

On ours this week
WANTED Lush Products.
I have decided to start the new year by using only Lush products as they are not tested on animals. Does anyone have any they won't use/don't need/are willing to donate?
Can collect around ******* on Friday morning/evening, or will be at home tomorrow if anyone is willing to drop off.
Thanks so much!
Wouldnt mind some myself:rotfl:0 -

new as opposed to used ? Why not go to the local shelter where they'll be inunndated with 'new' cats?
Not actually a lot of kittens this time of year, cats are semi seasonal breeders.
Lot's of older cats and young cats that some one has given up on though.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Have been reading this thread with interest. Quite often get rid of stuff on our local freecycle and do far have had a positive experience (people collecting on time, good fair mods and got a lovely sandpit for my little one!). Anyway I had to share this story, offered a Hoover yesterday as am inheriting my mothers old (one year old....!) dyson. Had a few replies , most very polite, but thisone took the biscuit;
' would like the Vacuum but can't drive. I like locally so you can drop it off easy. Also if it's ok there's a lady in ****** who's got a chair I want but obvs can't get it. She can't drive either so if you could collect it on the way, it is on the way if (she now goes onto tell me which way to go). Let me know when your coming. ***** '
I wonder if she needs me to nip to the shops for her as well?! Now don't get me wrong I have no problem delivering things if I'm going that way anyway but what a cheek!0 -
