Hi i have left freecycle due to these types of !!!!!!!!!!s...i advertised last yr an xbox not a 360 ...it had controls and games..i thought it would make some one happy..i got hundreds of replies and going through them was a night mare...i ended up giving it too a woman who in her emails told me that they were hard up and almost down and out...i gave her my address ,she then asked for my postcode and it was for her bloody satnav!!!!!if you can afford a car and a satnav then you can buy an xbox..i withdrew my offer..she complained to the mods but they can't make me give it to her..i gave it to a lovely man in the end who used his manners and turned up with his son to fetch it..it made my heart melt to see the boys face light up...freecycle is a good idea but unless they get tough then you'll always get scroungers..Be who you are, not what the world expects you to be..:smileyhea

WANTED LCD HD Ready Flat Screen TV
Hi all
I know this is a long shot but does anyone have a spare flat screen TV as above that they no longer need? It doesn't matter which make or what size it is. However, it needs to be one of the new style TVs (the ones that are slim and lightweight) as we don't have a lot of space in the playroom so we would be mounting it on the wall. Its for our little boy so he can have a little light entertainment whilst eating his lunch/dinner in his highchair. He loves In the Night Garden but doesn't get to watch it now as that's when it's his teatime and we have no TV in the playroom/dining room.
If anyone could help with our rather demanding request I would really appreciate it. We live in ****** and I can collect day or evening at time that is convenient for you.
Thanks so much for reading.

Hi, I may just be being a prude but I just received this reply from a taker:
"Hello, I'd like your books please including the adult books on the other listing if you still have them. I have a book store in ....... I would be able to collect tomorrow evening if that's convenient. Many thanks and kind regards .........
I thought the whole point was freecycle - not selling them on!I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0 -
To me the point of freecycle etc is no landfil, ie save it from the tip. Would rather give to someone honest and polite than a rude person with a sob story.0

Oh is that the York one, I saw that too, cheeky!! I was 16 when I got my first TV and I had that for over 10 years. Oh and if they can have a house with a Playroom/Dining room and a night Garden, then they are very lucky, perhaps lucky enough to afford a TV maybe or move the other one?0 -

I agree.
I also agree with PP with regards to easing the landfill but really how many people have a spare HDTV ready telly that they would throw on the tip :rotfl:
Personally if I had a spare tv it would be either on Ebay, given to a friend or family or donated to a charity so they could get some £££0 -

Whilst I agree with most of your sentiments I think you have gotten a little confused...."In the Night Garden" is a children's TV Show, they don't actually have a Night Garden :rotfl:0 -
I have just been doing the Thompson Directory distribution ( 2 routes this year - whatever possesed me ! - I have been soaking !! )
- but what I keep noticing is the amount of big CRT tv`s chucked in front gardens ( have I seen some sights - what an eye opener I tell you ! - one household has the Xmas tree up with lights a flashing and santa`s / deer / Angels in the window - it is still September isn`t it ?!! )
I have seen at least 30 ( CRT`s ) so far - no kidding - they cant all have been non working surely ? - what a sad waste of the planets resources ,if only they could have been FreegledAs Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !0
