    On my Bristol one;

    - Hi all I am looking an 8ft trmp for my lad no need for the net etc just the tramp! Can collect most areas but only got small car so will ideally need to dismantled and collection preferred for after school collection around 4pm or just after depending on where from.

    - Offer: I have an ongoing supply of free wooden front doors.

    - I need a printer that is working. I had one but it was stored in my brother's place and he threw it away (very smart of
him...) If it is not too big and too far I can pick it up. I have a medium-sized/big bag and a motorbike.

    - wanted vauxhall key for roof rack. its not the normal key, its the kind for a vauxhall estate that has roof bars already then you put these on it ?

-WANTED_Renault ESpace ignition switch lreg Has anyone got one of these hanging around by anychance? Ive just had to spend £100.00 on a locksmith to remove the snapped key but the igniotion lock wont work

Just a few that amused/amazed me, posted in the last 3 or 4 hours.

Our freecycle mods are very strict - that "offer" of a car in exchange for £100 never would have gotten past them!! I tried to post a message offering my No7 and sunglasses Boots vouchers yesterday and they rejected it on the basis that they wouldn't be going to a landfill site if they weren't used. I was a bit surprised, but I suppose I can understand their reasoning.

Freeshare would let it through :) vouchers are still bits of paper that would end up in the bin (if you don't have a paper recycle bin).

Ours is the same. They won't allow you to advertise unwanted train tickets for the same reason. We used to get quite a lot of train tickets offered on ours and I think it's a real shame that they stopped it. I once had a £70 ticket to London (for a meeting which was cancelled) and someone could have had a nice day shopping and seeing the sights. Our freecycle group doesn't get 100s of emails each day so I can't see why it would be so terrible to allow these ads.

An email just received from my local Freegle group
    Hi everyone,
here we have, a Top 10 List of complaints
compiled by you, put together by us, just for you LOL. So what exactly
is it that irritates you guys, let's find out, starting with:
    ***
    10. CAPITALS - please don't shout at me, it's extremely annoying.

    9. Re-selling - if I knew you were going to sell it, I'd have given
it to someone who really wanted it and would have used it. If I
wanted it to be sold on I would have advertised it as stuff for a car
boot, I really don't appreciate the deception.

    8. Chat speak - i cn pu 2MOR AYEC, PLMK, L8R......i wud reply if i nu
wot u ment to say to me so plz, im not 4teen i dont get it.

    7. Taken - how hard is it to post a taken. I would send another
email and ask about it but I don't want to appear to be harassing you.
I saw another one posted but I didn't respond as I didn't want to end
up with two if all of a sudden you emailed me about it. Doesn't it
annoy you to keep getting emails about it when it's already gone.
Please, please, please, post a taken, just put me out of my misery.

    6. Description - had I known it didn't work properly, I wouldn't have
picked it up. I can't fix things, someone else could have taken it and
fixed it. Yuuck, what's that smell, is it cigarette smoke.....oh no,
I'm allergic get it out. You said the mattress was clean, I wouldn't
let my dog sleep on that. Why do I have to take someone else's
garbage to the tip it's such a waste of everyone's time and my money

    5. First email takes it - what do I have to do to get something, sit
by my computer all day refreshing my inbox? I do have to go to work,
it's so unfair that I get home from work and see an offered that I
really needed, followed right behind it with a taken. I offer plenty,
but never get the chance to get anything in return. Why is it always
the same people that get all of the stuff? How can a regular member
compete against an auto responder, they're first every time

    4. No-shows - it appears you can type to respond and make
arrangements, so why can you not send an email if you've changed your
mind or can't make it? I'm moving and have to have all of this stuff
gone and now I have to re-post it and hope that it's gone before the
weekend. This really sucks. I came home at lunchtime because they
couldn't come in the evening and they never turned up.

    3. Sob stories - Please can I have this I am desperate. My house
burned down, my husband lost his job, we've been living in the car for
the last 2 months and we're really down on our luck, we would really
really love to have the big screen tv and the surround sound. Oh
no...this one's on benefits, has 6 kids and 2 dogs and is broke, the
next response has had her house burgled, her cat died, her car was
just stolen and I'm sure she could really use the basket of smellies.
How am I supposed to choose when everyone that applies for it has a
really difficult life, or they are disabled, or they have no money and
are desperate. Who are these people? Why has this groups suddenly
turned into a competition for the neediest person of the year?

    2. Manners - would it really hurt to add a please or a thank you, it
doesn't cost anything. I'll take it.....what' s that? Why did you
give it someone else? I told you I wanted it. They came and took it,
not a thank you or anything, not even an email later. How
inconsiderate was that? Why all of a sudden have people started
demanding things, like they're doing you a favour by taking it off
    your hands?

And.....drum roll please, the overwhelming winner, hands down the
    most complaints.. .......

    1. Wanteds - you want a what???? Are you crazy??? I can't even afford
one myself, never mind give one away. I would like a lot of things
but there is being sensible and asking to replace everything in the
house. This person obviously must think we are all stupid or doesn't
understand 3 wants per month. I can't believe that not only did they
ask for all that stuff, they even said what colour scheme they
    wanted?????
So that's it folks, all the things that annoy you and your fellow
members. So be nice, treat other members as you would like to be
treated yourself, hey, it's the Freecycle way, and above all, have
fun. Thanks for making a difference

They might have nicked it from somewhere else too, you never know.

I like it. It's a nice way of making a point!
