Just out of curiousity, does anybody know how you can 'leave' freecycle without having the original password etc...?? my Mother cant remember them from when she joined and the e mails fill the inbox??

I think she'd have to block the emails via the email service. Or mark them as junk so they don't clog up the inbox.

    "Hi
Has anyone got a mobile camera phone they no longer need.I have a new Grandson
but as he lives in Ireland I cant see him.My Son says if I get a camera phone he
will be able to send me pictures. To anyone that can help thank you so much it
    means the world to me"

Maybe me just reading this wrong, they have internet access so why not email said pics/ Ah, maybe the son doesn't have internet access.

What's wrong with sending photographs in an envelope if they're so important?.

Lol and you can pick them up for about £10 now, if they can afford the internet they can afford to spare £10 and get one for themselves...oh I am harsh.

Those with furniture or other household items could consider a furniture recycling project if you have one locally? they will usually collect from you too

Yes we have one locally and I'm happy to donate there as (a) they refurbish then sell on to people on benefits and (b) they provide employment for young people locally. Trouble is with upholstered items that if they are very old and dont have the Fire tag on them then they cant accept them, illegal to do so (same with charity shops I think). So all that's left to you is either Freecycle or the dump....

I tried to give away an old leather sofa but they didn't take it because it didn't have the fire tag. Beds also need mattresses not just bed frame. I ended up giving the ikea bed frame away on freecycle and got the council to collect the sofa as rubbish...
