I like the idea of a 3 strikes rule.
There is always going to be a time when you aren't able to go once it's been arranged, but at least have the decency to send them an e-mail to say so.
  • Just found this too, maybe if the lazy sod got off his backside and went outside to play he wouldn't need computer games:
Hi, I was wondering if any fellow freecycler has any psp games that they no
longer have any use for that they would be willing to gift to my 8yr old
grandson as he only has a couple and is becoming increasingly bored with playing
them over and over again!! He would be very grateful and we could collect at
your convenience. Many thanks for taking the time to read this.

Not to mention they're bloody cheap in most second hand shops.

    This really tickled me...

    WANTED: shears (*****)

I have a small bush which grows fast and need to keep it trimmed, so only
a small pair would do. I am presently using a pair of scissors which takes
    forever.

I have to hold back from replying :D

well on my freecycle, a lady posted offering a newish double futon - so I emailed as we currently have no sofa at all which is not fun at 33 weeks pregnant lol! however she will only give it to someone if they can give her a single futon in return.... we have nothing so can't "swap"

I said she should sell it on ebay in that case as she would at least get money back to buy another one.

Its not swap shop though! It's freecycle... :)

No way is that not intentional.

I hope so - I stayed at Elder Grove B&B in Ambleside and they had home made plum + rum jam as a breakfast item and also sold it! It was pretty damn good - and next time I was down in Ambleside for just a day, I bought another couple of jars. Booze + jam is a thing of beauty.
