Somebody was offering a car on mine yesterday! 1989 soft top (don't ask me which make, can't remember) It was genuine as well. The roof leaked and the seats were all wet and mouldy, so needed a lot of work doing to it.0

And now we have somebody wanting a car because his son's has died:
i know its a long shot but my son needs a car to get to work as his has died ,
even if it needs attn and we can fix it quick
Surely it will be better just to fix the one he has got??0 -
Just had this posted on my local freecycle. last week they were after a laptop for their son, as their daughter has one, but can't afford another one, had to be windows 7 aswell!
Sorry for another want...but has anyone got an ipod touch they no longer use
as my daughters has packed up.
Many thanks

So how do you check what people have asked for, or offered? I can't see any way of doing that on my Freecycle. I'm sure that someone I gave stuff to recently is getting tons of stuff, as the person who picked it up didn't know which number I lived at, and said she'd already collected from 4 people that day, and had 2 more to go to!
Bumping - yes how do you check ? - thats outrageous !! - our Freegle are tight about only posting one WANT a week - but then I suppose theres ways around this and depends what MOD you get as well -
I remember asking for just to borrow a certain type of screwdriver for one specific job and they bounced it back as they claimed that it would not be saved from landfill, as that it what the site is for - blow me the next week they let thru someone asking for a Kitten(s) !?
- figure that one out !?As Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !0 -

the above shows its only going to get worse - Freecycle / Freegle, is / was a great idea from saving stuff from landfill ( although I bet the boys at the landfill site have their own methods of saving a lot of stuff from land fill !)
perhaps a lot of these wants should be posted on a new site called thisishatiwantfornothing.com - where you can ask for anything from laptops to Lambourghinis
well you can ask....

This one is on ours todayA long shot but does anyone have a PS2 slim that they no longer use? Ours has developed a fault and although it is not used a great deal (well in summer anyway) it is still handy for long wet afternoons! I know it sounds picky but we need the slim because of where it fits!! Thanks for reading and here's hoping....
You don't NEED one at all, get a Jigsaw!0 -

You should have emailing them explaining you have a normal one you can gift them, would that be ok?My daughters are my world0 -
Found this on freecycle:Well that was eventful...
A couple of weeks ago I offered various items on freecycle, a light
fitting, box of computer bits, foot spa, kids disco lighting, and other
things.
I had several requests for items and the computer bits were collected
within a couple of hours of being offered to a chap in Gainsborough.
However everything else was never collected, I am not going to name
names but items were requested ethusiastically, then offered, times
arranged and then no more contact from people. I re-offered to other
requests to go through the same farce.
I spent evenings and daytimes waiting around for no-shows and to be
quite honest I gave up.
EVERYTHING today went to landfill and to be honest it really annoyed me
as the items were exceptionally good.
SO if you want an offer then at least have the decency to follow up and
pick it up when requested/arranged, its not just you having to find the
time to collect the 'offerer' has to find the time to wait in for your
ungrateful !!!!
Perhaps freecycle needs to impliment a new system where if someone
doesnt collect items then a 3 strikes and your suspended for a month and
then any futher infractions will get a permanent ban.My daughters are my world0
