One person today has asked for:
Tumbler dryer
Rowing machine
Multi Gym
And, funny, but somebody else, 3 minutes later, wants a rowing machine too.
i find that - i cheekily asked for any little boys clothes the other day in 18-24 month as my son had outgrown his old stuff however if anyone kindly wanted to donate anything bigger i would happily put it aside for when he grows into it.
within a few minutes there was someone wanting little boys clothes in 2-3 years.

Also the other week we had someone in urgent need of a Kitten. I've never had a kitten emergency myself.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:whenever i look at these posts i have to laugh. I got booted from ours when my hotmail was hacked which has been a pain on the one hand but a blessing on the other0 -

Some of these are hilarious. I really do feel sorry though for the people kind enough to offer items only to be met by timewasters.
When I was moving into my flat, I saw a lady post an offer of a sofa. When I contacted her about it, she told me that she'd already been let down twice by people on freecycle saying they would take it and not turning up. She was also moving from Scotland down to the south coast, and therefore didn't have much time left to clear her house. She kindly chose me to give it to.
On the day I was moving in I was mortified when I found out the keys weren't ready at the time we were told; I didn't want this lovely lady thinking I was another no-show. Thankfully, when I called her she was really nice about it, I apologised profusely, and she got a friend to wait in for us coming to collect (since she had to be somewhere else by the time all the keys hassle was sorted). She even gave us a throw and 2 cushions with the sofa!
Hooray for all the nice people around! :j:j Ready to take control of my life! :j
