not just me then:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: didn't want to post it tho!0 -
There are some nice people around on freecycle. Sadly, it's 1 in 10 people!! A lady posted one of my loca groups that she'd been offered an item (in response to a wanted), went 15 miles to get it (it was a sofa bed), and got to the desination, to find the address didn't even exist. She was an elderly lady in need of a sofa bed so that her sister could stay with her, who had cancer
On the plus side, we asked for sack-truck yesterday to help me move house (either to keep or to borrow). A very kind gent offered us his to borrow, stating that he does need it back. Went to pick it up today and I said I would return it first thing Monday morning but would it be possible to borrow again in 2 weeks to help somebody else to move. He said no, don't bring it back Monday, bring it back when we have finished the other persons move too. He is putting his trust in us to bring it back, which of course we will do.0 -
Someone offered a bag of southern fired chicken, left over from a party had not been out too long so should have been OK.
Made me chuckle!!0 -

The local chinese is pretty dodgy.:eek:0 -
free of charge ! - will probably hover round the door huffing and puffing , if its an elderly person getting rid of a machine and expect to get some sort of tip for " struggling with it ! "As Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !0

On my today:
if any body has a boggy board they no longer use, i would be delighted to take
it of ur hands i have a very lazy 2 year old that is well to big for a push
chair and isn't a very good walker i want a boggy board so i can take her out on
foot more often and hopefully incorage her to walk more, please call
First off, what is a boggy board?? I presume buggy board
Second, the child is 2 years old!! Not lazy, just 2.
Out of interest, I looked up what else she has asked for recently:
Freezer
Bunk beds (urgently)
Bike carrier for car (urgently)
Weights bar
Adults bike
Cooker
Washing machine
Single Bed0 -
I had a freecycler tell me he would be over yesterday 'in the evening' to collect some stuff that I offered, he didn't give me a time despite me asking. I assumed he was a no show until a knock came on the door at 11pm
Really annoying as I usually give away quite decent stuff and lots of people ask for it... I always seem pick the timewasters!!! At least this one showed up I guess.0 -
11pm!! I think I would have had a few words to say if someone had been knocking on my door at that time0
